On a side note... Congrats to the Rangers for doing something other than playing in NY.

Penguins' record in last 7 games: 3-3-1.
Joe Vitale didn't play in any of those games. Coinidence? I think not.

I love me some Joe Vitale getting underneath the skin of opponents, but I think it is a coincidence.
I have to be honest, Letang is the guy this team seems to miss the most when he's out of the lineup.

They're not winning it unless the Rags completely tank. Even then the Pens have to be near perfect in 5 really tough games.
The Islanders blew any chance the Pens had.

Just a theory, but the Pens were 4-0-1 when Bylsma was doing little juggling and working Sid into the lineup in a way that he would complement what already had been working. Starting in Ottawa, Bylsma went juggle crazy . . . the Pens are 1-3 in that game and the three since.
That said, your Vitale theory is equally interesting . . .

New nicknames:
Bread
Butter
(and victorious butter at that)
When these two are in the lineup our team brings it with a lot more consistency.

Agreed with Vitale.
It seems when ever he and/or Kunitz/Neal lead the charge physically. Everyone else follows. When he forechecks, i noticed opponents really just want him to go away which is a great thing.

Yeah it's probably the 4th line center & not the number 1 D-man.
We do miss him though.

Well, I was leaning towards the reunited Malkin line, not juggling much and letting the lines get some flow going, a greater commitment to the F3, and better work protecting their net for the reason, but I stand corrected I think . . .
