It depends really. It's fun to watch the floor. You'll see GMs calling each other or wandering to other tables. There's a lot that goes on that you wouldn't normally see on the broadcast.
It's also a real diverse event. Meaning that they'll be a lot of Pens fans there but every team will be represented by a few fans. So if you like talking **** it's a lot of fun. Division rivals are especially fun to rag on after a questionable pick or trade.

The good thing about a draft is it brings out the real fans. You won't see the 19 year old puck ***** and the 43 year old mom in who screams shoot for 2 minutes straight on the Powerplay.

The draft can be fun depending on what happens. When it was in Calgary my dad had VIP everything and spent a lot of time wandering down on the floor. Went to the Penguins table to see if Mario was there to get my jersey signed (he wasnt
) then went to the Flames table and talked to a bunch of alumni that were coming and going. He personally liked talking to all the parents of the kids at the draft.

So yeah, I'm gonna book a room this week and stay Friday night so I can go Friday and Saturday.
Currently I'm just going by myself, gonna say it again that we need to get an HFBoards group together.
Wish they'd put out the damn ticket info.

No we've been waiting a while too. Is anyone a season ticket holder? Maybe they are giving them first shot.

Been planning on going, still waiting to hear more info. What do they typically show on the scoreboard? Highlights? Bob Mackenzie? Stats?

I definitely want to go...depends on availability I guess.
Sounds like a fun time...though I'll lose interest after the 2nd or 3rd round as always.

Usually hoodie wearing chubs in these parts, though I guess our young team may have changed that a bit.

Aren't tickets to the draft usually free?

That's pretty much the case for me. Really thought about going, but I'd probably have just as good of a time watching it on tv with a large pizza and a six-pack. And I think Bettman should definitely get booed, he really let us down in the playoffs.

We have a half season and I thought it was free?
At any rate I'll be there drinking and I'll let it be my final emo fest about this season, waiting patiently for a trade that never happens.

We should cheer Bettman. It would be a big middle finger to a lot of people.

I know we haven't gotten along over the past month or so but this is a really good idea.

We had a difference of opinion over the comedic effect of hockey players without their shirts. I don't hold it against you.

I'll be there. Probably going alone, don't think any of my friends are hardcore enough to sit through 3 hours of calling names they've never heard of. An HFBoards section would be cool, as long as no one tries to fight me.
