Is the Nexus more customizable? Can you do more on it? It seems like hardware wise it's better than a 4s...
I have both Ios5 on my ipad and ICS on my nexus. IMO ICS is way better, its not even close. I think IOS is pretty polished, but ICS is a sexy OS.
My main issue with androids are not so different from apple, the app drawer is just annoying to navigate when you have lots of apps. i wish you could folder that like on the homescreens.

I agree with this. The app drawer is MEGA cluttered on my ASUS Transformer. 150+ apps installed make navigation in the App drawer just meh.
I ended up just separating out my apps into categories per homescreen (games, productivity, Home, etc) and having the apps organized in folder swith the odd widgets here and there.
Also, mother****er likes to take screenshots ALL THE TIME. No idea why, however whatever combination + me hitting the Home button makes it take a screenshot.
Do Samsung make good phones for the Andriod OS? I've heard HTC aren't great and I'm not so sure about LG.
Samsung has made probably the most popular Android phones to date. But your information on HTC is incorrect. They make excellent devices that lately have taken a bit of a hit in reputation because of how they bent to the whims of carriers and shoved LTE in everything resluting in terribad battery life.

I probably have 200+ screenshots in my Gallery.
That;s really wierd. because unless you're running a custom ROM ICS or otherwise, stock Gingerbread has no native way of taking screenshots in the OS.
If I settle for Android, do you guys think I should go for a Nexus or wait for something such as the Samsung S3?
Stick with a Nexus. The Droids and HTCs and Samsungs and all that is just too bogged down with junk in their UIs. I had an original Droid and after the 2nd or 3rd update it was just laggy and terrible to use. Heard the same about the galaxy s series as well as other motorola droids. Not so sure about HTC though.

Yeah, I'm going to grab myself a Nexus this afternoon.
I've read that it's 'vanilla' but I want a phone that's good at web browsing, is sleek, fast, and things like that/ I'm not interested in playing games on my mobile phone, other than some basic apps.

These guys talked me into the Nexus and it's the best phone I've ever owned.
So the Samsung Infuse 4G was supposed to get an update to Gingerbread, then a week later they said the update was on hold. This was back in Feb. Is there an update yet? Will there ever be?

Something to consider is that there's a rumor out that Google may release Android 5.0 this Summer (actually, the rumor is Q2, but that's not likely to happen, so by the end of Q3/Summer is probably a safer bet). The Galaxy Nexus would be one of the first to get it, so if you want Jelly Bean in a timely manner, the Nexus is the one to go with. If ICS is any indication, and it likely is, most other phones won't get Jelly Bean until closer to this time next year (ugh).

Jelly Bean will not be out by Summer's end. I'm fairly sure of it.
Not to mention, if it DOES come out. It will be a minor update rather than a significant one like ICS was.
These rumors are from Digitimes which, as of late, will just about throw any rumor on the wall to see if it sticks.
Releasing JB before even at least 30% adoption of their BEST OS iteration yet makes little to no sense and even borders on insanity.

The rumor was tied to the rumors of Google creating a Nexus tablet and launching an online store to sell it, probably before Fall. By then, ICS will be somewhat old news, lots of phones and tablets will have it and the Nexus tablet won't stand out much. It would make a lot of sense for Google to include Jelly Bean on it so that their tablet stands out more. It would likely be a minor update, as you say, and hardly any different than ICS, but incrementing the version number and calling it Jelly Bean would help with marketing.
Also, ICS was previewed by Google at the Google I/O event last May, so it wouldn't be so unexpected for them to preview JB at this year's event in late June. ICS took until October to be available in a product (the Galaxy Nexus), but if JB is just a minor update, then it's conceivable that won't take that long, being available before Fall. We'll have to wait and see.
BTW, you say that it'd "border on insanity" to release JB before there's 30% adoption of ICS, but how much adoption was there for Froyo before Gingerbread was released? Only 7 months (May 2010 to December 2010) separated the release of those two, so I can't imagine that adoption for Froyo was high. GB was just a .1 increment, but JB may be to ICS more like GB was to Froyo, despite what the probably misleading "5.0" version would imply.

I definitely think Google is making a tablet, I'm not too keen on it being sub-200 without some serious hardware corners being cut but I'd like to be surprised.
What I don't see is the connection between the tablet being launched and JB. Look how long roll out is taking for ICS. I mean even the NEXUS S is waiting for it's ICS rollout.
Why would you want to feed the trolls by releasing yet another iteration of Android. Honestly, I see a 2.0 -> 2.1 type of update. New version, still Eclair.
- The Google tablet will be called the “Google Play”.
- Brand is as much a part of the end-to-end experience as the user interface, device, OS, apps, and services.
- Google will distance itself from the Android brand; instead they will invest heavily in the Play brand.
- Fragmentation of Android will accelerate.
Pretty unanimous, HTC is back. Samsung and Apple will need to step their game up.
I don't really get "HTC is back" when I read these reviews. Seems the things that HTC is good at, that being hardware and design of phones, is what the one x is good at. Screen doesn't impress me any more or less than the iPhone 4S or Galaxy Nexus screen. It being better is only going to be noticeable if you hold them all side by side. The performance is meaningless to me since NA is going to get the dual core version, no **** the quad core version is amazing.
But the main problem I have is that the reviews all say Sense still sucks, but it's better than the old Sense. That's not much of an endorsement imo. Rather have a Galaxy Nexus that updates more frequently.
So Q2 has arrived. Still no word of a tentative release date for the new Asus Transformer tablet? Getting anxious to pre-order one. My 2002 PC is sputtering and I'm in dire need of an upgrade.

They are back because they had a sluggish 2011. The One X and One S (as well as One V) is HTC getting back to what made them the successful company that they became.
Screens are of course something that needs to be seen in person to judge, but I've yet to see so many reviewers say unanimously that this was the best screen they've ever seen since the Retina Display.
Also, the Tegra version while nice is not better than the Qualcomm S4 that will be in the NAM version. In fact the S4 destroys Tegra 3 in several benchmarks and many reviewers who've had both the One X and One S noted snappier performance form the One S.

No word from the sources I read unfortunately. =[
