Most frustrating game you can remember watching

Yesterday when we held the Canadiens shotless in the third for a while, I like I do once in a while remembered a game against the Canes in 06 in the garden. Basically we were down 2-0 in that game going into the 3rd period. In the 3rd period we had 20+ shots and they had ZERO, I honestly can't remember the last time we held a team to zero shots in a period. We ended up losing 2-1. The goalie was Gerber, so it wasn't friggin Brodeur, Roy, or Hasek, although he had his moments. It was unbelievable. More frustrating than the Colorado game this year.

Edit: My memory isn't perfect it seems. Just looked at the box score. We outshot them 17-0. Still amazing.

Game 6. 1994 Stanley Cup finals. That goal that got overturned because Courtnall had scored on the previous play... I thought we were done. I almost cried that night.

I guess I just thought about it and may have to change it to game 5 against the Sabres in 07. But that game wasn't frustrating since it happened so fast.

That one would go down among the most heartbreaking perhaps...but yeah, I don't think I would call it frustrating.

That game we lost to the blues was bad. It was hard for me to watch.

I thought the game before against Stars was worse. That along with the Devils game where we had 28 shots total were the most boring games of the season. Even Stars fans agreed and they won!

Probably the most disappointing game I've ever witnessed.

Also the Conference finals against the Habs in 1986. That entire series was frustrating. Roy was just a brick wall that series. We could've put 100 shots on net and he still would have shut us out.

Definitely for me. I've only been following the Rangers since the 00-01 season. The #2 most disappointing game was last year's blown 3 goal lead to the Caps. But you had a feeling that even if we even won that game 4 against the Caps we'd lose in 6. You had a feeling that we'll beat the Sabres if we won game 5.

Top of my head I want to say game 4 of last year vs the caps...not sure if frustrating is the right word though

If we would've won game 5 at Buffalo (damn you, Chris Drury) I know we would've beaten Buffalo and went to the ECF.

How about game 5 of 1994 Finals? First period goal incorrectly disallowed, then the awesome comeback only to give it right back with a chance to win the Cup.

Tikkanen blew a slapshot past McLean and it was called offsides... terrible call.

I just realized I kept referring to it as game 6, I of course mean game 5.

Jagr and Lundqvist were banged up and they were major reasons why we made it that year.

The only series the Rangers lost to the Devils in the playoffs.

That video brought back tons of memories. That was one of the most bizarre games ever. After Messier scored a trademark goal to make it 3-3 it seemed like destiny the Rangers would win the Cup that night.

Definitely game 7 against the Flyers. I thought we had the better team talent wise and it was one of those series that the home game won every game. Hadfield was a disgrace watching Schulz pummel Rolfe in that game. The Flyers had just lost Barry Ashbee a few days ago in a career ending gruesome eye injury and I just had a feeling that were going to hurt one of the Rangers. That game still bothers me to this day and I would rank it as the worst game I remember watching. The only brightside was that it forced the Rangers to clean house and bring in Espo and let him lead the late 70,s team of Duguay,Greschner,Maloney,Vickers,Davidson etc. one of the most competive group of players the Rangers have ever had. That Flyer loss still stings

The game versus Chicago a few years ago (that the Rangers won) that the entire game the Rangers were shorthanded it seemed. Without a doubt the worst referee'd game I'd ever seen. I remember feeling nauseous to the point where I went into the bathroom during a commercial break because I thought I'd hurl.

That was the first (and last) time I'd seen Tom Renney show any emotion.

Game 1 in '08 against the Pens. We had a 3-0 lead but we were getting outplayed and you could see it coming, and the whole time you're praying that they wake up before they blew the lead, but they never did. 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-3 Pens, slowly but surely. It was like having a knife twisted. Then to add to the frustration the idiots go and tie it only to lose 5-4 on a PP goal which happened to be a brutal call. I wanted my mommy to say the least.

There were like 3 fluky ass goals in that game too.
