I liked the look of Horny on a checking line last night. I honestly think thats a better ES role for him. I am sure we will see the normal in game tweeks like last night, so I might get my wish.

Neither really fits on our current 4th line and it's a stretch to say they're better options than anybody on the 3rd. Halischuk has over 200 fewer minutes of ES time than Wilson, but four more ES goals.

If Wilson goes in for Tootoo we get a sector of the fanbase screaming that Willy is misused and another screaming because Tootoo is out.

I don't think anyone would scream if toots is out. I'm sure lots would scream if wilson was on the 4th line again and rightfully so.. if wilson can't elevate his all around game enough to where trotz will at least place him on the third line then he needs to sit. wilson simply doesn't make sense on the 4th line.. we have too much depth at this point and he is the odd man out

Fascinating thing, last game for the Wings and Hawks. DET vs. CHI. Depending on the mindset it could be fighting for the 4/5 or failing for #6

Preds are in the drivers seat. If they beat the Hawks, that's great even if they lose the situation looks like this.

Preds 98 pts 3 games
Wings 97 pts 4 games
Hawks 97 pts 3 games

But the Preds really should take this win.

I thought about that too but I can't ever wish a team we play gets a point. The Wings are still 2 points ahead of Chicago and will likely win tomorrow against Florida. Hawks and Wings play in the last game of the year but I think at this point we have to just worry about getting 2 points each night and letting 5th and 6th sort themselves out.

Hey....we win out in regulation or OT and St. Louis loses out in regulation we get the number 1 seed haha

Of course then we have exceptions, but if you want to win the cup your gonna have to deal with them eventually.

Honestly, I would rather play Detroit or Chicago than the Kings or Sharks any day.

That being said, I keep flip flopping between which of Detroit and Chicago I want.
