What are you talking about guys?

There's no chances the Wild will draft 10th. The max position they might draft is like 7th-8th but the only way it'd happen is the Wild keep winning while the other teams losing.

I'm not worried.

As I was pointing out, if the Wild were to win out at this point, we would almost certainly draft 9th or 10th (depending on Winnipeg's play). If the Wild go 2-3 we will be all but guaranteed a lottery pick.

I want to buy one of those mini Nordys for my Godson. He's 3,5 years old.

To expand a little on the finish possibilities, these are the point ranges for teams vying for top 10 picks:

Winnipeg 80-88
Carolina 78-86
Tampa 77-87
Anaheim 77-87
NYI 77-87 (currently losing 4-2 to Bruins)
Toronto 75-83
Minnesota 74-84
Montreal 72-80
Edmonton 71-79
Columbus 59-67

Winnipeg plays Tampa twice and NYI once. Tampa plays Toronto and Montreal. Anaheim plays Edmonton twice. Montreal plays Toronto and Carolina.

Assuming NYI loses tonight, the Wild winning out only leaves one scenario where they could pick higher than 8th, and a single extra loss by any other affected team guarantees 9th.

I don't mind few wins. Let's say max 2. Kings and Coyotes home games.

My bad, it's Montreal we are tied with in ROW. And Montreal has a vastly superior goal differential which should be the next tiebreaker if we are tied in points and ROW with the Habs come season end.

I wouldn't mind the Wild playing spoilers in the Pacific, and possibly giving an edge to San Jose.

Also, GO MONTREAL! Beat the Caps just like you did in the playoffs a couple years ago!

GO HALAK!

God, I have the OTT-PHI game on and this is the most brutally slow game I've ever seen. It makes the first period of the Florida game seem quick and exciting.

Went over to the Ottawa GDT to check comments. Seems like they're pretty excited about the game.

I thought it was a pretty good game too. A lot of skill on both sides.

I hope we can somehow have our draft pick locked up by next saturday so I can finally root for the Wild to knock the Coyotes off. I hope the Coyotes come into that game in a win-or-die situation so we can kill their playoff hopes in front of the X's fans, just like we did against Dallas a few years ago.

The OT and shootout moved along, but good god that third period was slow. The wife and I were joking about how just painful it was to watch. Heck, both teams went on powerplays where they failed to gain the offensive zone.

That was one of the better shootouts I've seen though.

Not gonna happen sadly especially when Backstrom is back for the Caps.

Jets play the Lightning tonight (pray for OT).

Leafs play the Sabres in Toronto (home team has won every game in that series).

I really hate the "a bit of an upper body injury'' part.

That pretty much means the start of another concussion to me... Hope I'm wrong somehow.

Foster in, Scandella out with "a bit of an upper-body injury."

More likely he's 97% and they're holding him out because if they have one more injury than that they can call up Cuma.

You know what's ironical?

He's coming back against Bourque's *new* team.

I wonder if Bourque will troll Backstrom.

Well it was bound to happen. A Wild player was showing signs of developing skill; of course he's gonna get a concussion.

Just gonna say I'm glad I'm not watching this one. And to anyone who's going, happy Fan Apology Appreciation Night!
