This is the "classic" Four Horsemen, yes? Flair, Ole Anderson, Arn Anderson, Tully Blan-chard (RIP, Lord Alfred Hayes) and J.J. Dillon as manager?

I would've had Austin induct Tyson into the HOF, but whatever. I'm just happy Christian is the one inducting Edge. There's no one else that makes sense.

Nope - they're inducting the Flair, AA, Blanchard, Windham and Dillon group which is my favourite version of The Horsemen. Heck - I like those guys so much that I use them as my signature logo on both wrestling sites I use.

^ I can only remember the revolving door WCW horseman.

It was like Flair, Arn, Benoit, Malenko, Mongo McMichael and I think Eddie Guerrero was involved at some point to.

Eddie Guerrero was never part of the Horsemen. Here is how the group evolved:

- the Four Horsemen became a group in 1986 and consisted of Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson and Tully Blanchard ( managed by JJ Dillon )
- in 1987 Lex Luger became an " Associate Member " of the Horsemen
- Lex Luger replaced Ole Anderson in March 1987
- Dark Journey became a valet for the group for a short time
- Luger got kicked out of the Horsemen later that year when he refused to let JJ Dillon win a " Bunkhouse Stampede " match.
- Barry Windham shocked everybody by joining the Horsemen after he turned on Luger during a tag title match against Arn and Blanchard in April 1988.
- Arn and Tully left for the WWF in September 1988 and they were unofficially replaced by Michael Hayes, Butch Reed and Kendll Windham although these guys were never officially called Horsemen
- JJ Dillon left for the WWF in early 1989 and Hiro Matsuda began managing the group. They soon dropped the Horsemen name and were now known as the Yamazaki Corporation.
- later in 1989 Arn and Ole returned and reformed the Horsemen along with Flair and Sting. The Horsemen were now faces and feuded with Gary Hart's J-Tex group of Terry Funk, The Great Muta, The Dragon Master ( The Great Kabuki ) and Buzz Sawyer. The Horsemen later turned on Sting when he refused to turn down a title shot against Flair. Woman ( Nancy Sullivan ) became Flair's valet.
- in May 1990 Barry Windham ( returning from the WWF ) and Sid Vicious were added to the group and Ole became the Horsemen's Manager.
- by 1991 Flair, Arn, Windham and Vicious started wrestling less and less as a group and they finally went their separate ways.
- to most wrestling fans this is when the real Four Horsemen group died but later versions of the group included Paul Roma, Brian Pillman, Chris Benoit, Steve McMichael, Jeff Jarrett, Curt Hennig and Dean Malenko.

Ric Flair will be allowed to appear at the Hall of Fame, I wonder if he will be shown on TV though, surely the 4 Horsemen will get a segment on the taped TV show

from today's pwinsider.com:

WWE officially announced on their website that Ric Flair would be in attendance for his induction into their Hall of Fame as a member of the Four Horsemen.

Flair will become the first person inducted more than once into the Hall.
While there had been talk over whether TNA would allow Flair to attend or not, Flair attended last year's Hall of Fame induction for Shawn Michaels and was seen on WWE.com as part of Mania weekend.
There was never any great concern internally that Flair wouldn't be attending this year's Hall ceremony, despite his current relationship with TNA.

He's up to his eyes in debt and TNA wanted to employ him basically so his name would be associated with theirs.

Some more Ric Flair updates:

Legacy Talent, which represents Ric Flair, issued the following:

TNA IMPACT WRESTLING Star Ric Flair® to Attend WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Flair Confirms He Will be Present in Miami When the Four Horsemen Receive Their Hall of Fame Honor.

CHARLOTTE, NC – (March 27, 2012) International celebrity the Nature Boy® Ric Flair is set to become the only wrestler in history to be inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame twice. Flair’s dominant 1980s wrestling group, the Four Horsemen, known to be the greatest in ring performers of all time, will be granted their seat in the Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Miami, FL on March 31st, the day before Wrestlemania XXVIII. Flair will be inducted along-side fellow members of the Four Horsemen: Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, and J.J. Dillon.
The news of Flair’s second induction was followed by a firestorm of controversy. Questions flew about whether Flair would attend the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony as he is currently under contract with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling.

Understanding what a huge honor this is for Flair, TNA is graciously supporting him in the decision to attend the Hall of Fame ceremony alongside his fellow inductees.
“Being inducted once was one of the greatest accomplishments of my career, so I’m humbled and honored to be recognized again. I wouldn’t miss the ceremony for the world,” says Flair.

TNA President Dixie Carter says, “We are proud of Ric’s many accomplishments and contributions he has made to the world of professional wrestling and beyond. We wish to congratulate him on yet another honor he truly deserves.”
Flair, a 16-time World Heavyweight Champion, was inducted individually into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008. On becoming a two-time inductee his agent Melinda Morris Zanoni of Legacy Talent and Entertainment says, “We are all so proud to be watching Ric continue to make history. There will never be an athlete more deserving of wearing two Hall of Fame rings than Ric Flair.”

For more information on Ric Flair go to http://www.ricflair.com, follow him on Facebook: Ric Flair, The Nature Boy, or on Twitter: @RicFlairNatrBoy. Flair is currently with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. TNA airs Thursday nights (9/8c) on Spike TV with monthly 3-hour Per-Per-View events.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

from pwinsider.com:

The deal between WWE and TNA for Ric Flair to attend this Saturday's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony was completed just Monday , according to a WWE source.
I was told that the issue was not Flair attending but Flair as a contracted TNA talent appearing on WWE broadcast of the Wrestlemania PPV, Hall of Fame highlights on subsequent WWE broadcasts and the DVD release.
Flair attended last year's Hall of Fame ceremony but was not specifically shown or focused upon during the broadcast or DVD release.
The WWE source was not privy to what the negotiations entailed or whether TNA would be mentioned on the Hall of Fame broadcast. There will be no TNA representatives or officials at the Hall of Fame itself.

I don't recall Hennig ever actually wrestling as a Horseman. I know they went through the whole thing in WCW when Arn gave Hennig his spot, but didn't Hennig turn around and join NWO and make fun of him ("not a liver spot, not my dog Spot")?

The Nitro show where Arn gave Hennig his " spot " in the Horsemen was on August 25 - 1997. The NWO did their Horsemen parody on the following Nitro ( September 1 - 1997 ) that had Nash ( Arn ), Syxx ( Flair ), Bagwell ( Hennig ) and Konnan ( McMichael ) poking fun at what had happened a week earlier. Hennig ended up turning on The Horsemen a few weeks later during the War Games match at the Fall Brawl PPV on September 14 - 1997.
