It's not looking like there will be much more chance to observe Galchenyuk. The Sting are losing 3-1 in the third and would lose the playoff series if it remains so.

He'll play the U18 if they lose

And the Sting is out. "See you next time."

Wilson had only 1 point in a 9-3 rout.

He was supposedly very physical in the game though.

Those who have seen the games say hes got everything back except for the finish. He's been dominant but cant buy a goal. Knee looks 100% its just more a timing issue with his finishing. Not strange as that can take time when you have such a layoff

Pretty much all eyes will be on Grigo now. Should be some pretty good games against Halifax!

The stars are aligning. Montreal is creeping into a bottom 3 pick, and Grigo is looking like a more and more likely candidate.

You're not going to always get a ton of points when you're doing the dirty work. It's kind of like people saying Pacioretty was greatly benefitting from playing with Porter and Kolarik.

Well, there's only one 30-goal scorer in the NHL amongst them, and it ain't any of the 2 guys not wearing a Habs jersey. A guy like Wilson takes a little more time to develop, whether he ends up being much more than a utility forward remains to be seen, but pointing out his point totals really isn't a fair assessment.

Forsberg vs Galchenyuk in U18 and Grigorenko vs the loaded Halifax Mooseheads. If Grigo can play reasonably well or dominate the series then we are looking at a sure fire top 3 pick.

Where forsberg goes in the draft depends on how he plays in the u-18 if he dominates it will be a big boost and will probably solidify him in the top 4.

If he doesn't play well I wouldn't be surprised if he fell to 6-7.

IF his season ended right now he would already be a sure fire top 3 pick. The only way he drops lower than 3 is if he gets a knee injury or something like that.

Absolutely. His game is based on more than scoring. What I wanted to see if he can turn on that extra gear and be a dominant player when it matters the most.

Having said that, he's behind a stacked 1st line that gets all the ice time. Still a favourite for the early 2nd rounder imo.

Well, with tonight's results, we have a top 8 pick for sure. That's gonna change in each and every night so it's gonna be an exciting week for the tank fans. Right now though, a top 3 is very likely.

I hate the fact that we're playing terrible teams next.

Not really, if anything his stock is dropping.

Glachenyuk showing he is healthy(if not 100% timing wise) probably puts him clearly ahead.

I sure won't argue if we take Galy, I only have eyes for these two.

Not really, i've talk with two scouts during the first round serie and it looks like his stock is climbing back. They were really imppressed by the way he elevates his defensive play and didn't seem affected by that gritty Drummonville team. I would be really surprised if he doesn't go in the top 3. A good serie against Halifax and I think it's a locked top 3 pick.

So right now we compete to have the second, third or fourth pick I would say. I know Grigorenko is good but who should we pick? Imagine if we draft 4th and Yakupov, Grigo and Forsberg are taken, should we take a defenseman (BPA) Like Murray or Dumba? Or Galchenyuk, is he that good? He was injured all year..

To be honest, no one knows any of the answers. Historically the top 5 is pretty easy to predict, but you can never know with Timmins. His thought process is pretty methodical and unbiased. That is to say he will most likely not be brainwashed by the fact Grigo plays with Quebec. Also, I would take Gally at 4 or Murray.

The U18, which is by far the most important event of the year for scouts because they can see the prospects agains each other, will be particulary important for Galchenyuk. We'll know much more after it, hopefully TSN will show us some games!!!

There seems to me that there is 5-6 prospects that stand-out after Yakupov, at this point i'm very confident we'll get a very solid prospect,

Magnus Paajarvi avaliable? I would offer Edm 2nd round (late 1st pick) and 3rd for him.

I like this in fact.

A kid line.

All good teams have a good 3rd kid line. Cheap, young and eager. And offensive.

Lambert Risebrough Tremblay for example.

Don't know if Gall is ready, but if he is, we could see 120 points from that line next year.

Bourque will play top six all the time anyway with injuries.

-Max DD Cole
-Bourque Pleks Gio
-X UFA top six. Just one, and not a star, we don't need one as we're not a contender. Just solid tough 45 point guy. 3-4 mill.
- Gall Eller Leblanc. I like this. But I think Gall is gonna need half a season AHL, not more though, you will see. Moen will play on the third line in the meanwhile. Which I hate. Moen now at his age is a fourth liner on a cup team, but we're not a cup team.
White X Moen. Find the all purpose tough center and pay him.
