If Washington goes 1-1-1 we still don't make playoffs.

No chance this team wins all 3 games. We have Toronto again. Clearly they are an elite team that we can't stop.

U: With the season on the line, this performance and outcome was unfathomable and really unacceptable.
It's hard to understand how they could let things slip away after playing two of their best games of year vs. the Rags and Caps.

Talk about a let down. They smoke the Caps in their own barn and then decide it's time for wine and cigars? I can forgive a loss to the Penguins but this is inexcusable.
As soon as a few D get hurt Ruff teams implode.

No problem. I think it sums up this season nicely. Sabres = dog. Sabres fans = guy.

If this team's management has the balls to pull some major moves they could be good next year. Deal Vanek at the draft, I hate having $7 mil of cap space tied up to a mostly 1 dimensional winger. Move Roy at the deadline for a serviceable #3 center and a pick or prospect. Let Pominville/Miller/Ehrhoff take over as leaders for the new core.
probably won't happen, but crazier things have happened...right?

Like any other team that loses their top two defensemen that can play 25+ minutes a game and can push the breakout, not to mention QB the power play.
But yes, it's Ruff.

I started to drink at the end of the first period. I'm 2 bottles of wine down now, and while I don't feel any better, I want to fist fight a bandwagon Caps fan.

Washington now has a 2 point lead AND the tiebreaker, which means if the Sabres go 3-0, Wash only needs to go 2-1 to get in.
If Sabres go 2-1, then Wash only needs to win one more game to get in.

They should have, yes.
But blaming Lindy is (ironically, using his word) a joke. What is he supposed to do, exactly?
