They might as well stayed home and watched basketball.

Everything is vodka and nothing hurts.

Can we please just score one useless goal?

Watching reruns of Operation Repo is more exciting than this game.

This is where the sanitization of the NHL kinda stinks. Meaningless game at the end of the season, getting blown out at home, and our two top scorers have been involved with some dirty stuff. In the golden era of the league (ie, when I was a kid) a minimum of one Cane would just grab someone, anyone, and start throwing haymakers under the pretext of evening up some kind of score, or sending a message, or something. But it would really be about showing a little god damn heart, giving the fans SOMETHING for their money, and going down with a fight.

Right now it's more about keeping everyone from getting a boo boo, and out of the TSN spotlight. So we get to watch a horrible end to a horrible game by a heartless team. Bummer.

I had an incident with vanilla Burnett's once. Vanilla vodka and Coke and way, way too much of it. I can't even smell that stuff without wanting to hork now, and that was four years ago.

I'm actually drinking cherry Burnett's and Dr. Enuf. I've had some pretty good vodka before, but I still love this stuff for some reason.

Well, my incident involved taking a shot (above-average sized shots in my case) every time I scored a goal in NHL12 EASHL (something I rarely did at that point, I am much more of an assist guy). I ended up scoring like 9-10 goals over 4 games. But that was straight vodka, not with anything else.

Needless to say, it hit me shortly thereafter, and I'm glad that my dorm room had a sink in it.

So for the second year in a row, fan appreciation night ends in a ****astic performance from the home team.

Oh, wow. Yeah, that wouldn't end well.

I decided to "celebrate" getting through a three day/three exam stretch. I didn't measure very well. I have no idea how much I actually drank, I threw the rest of the bottle away when I finally sobered up because the smell of vanilla was absolutely abhorrent to me. Just gross.

Well, first, this one hurts less because of the implications of last year's. And second, technically speaking, Thursday's game is THE fan appreciation night.

Haha, yeah. I gave the rest of the bottle to my roommate for his train ride back home for fall break. I have not had anything to drink though since late November, which is somewhat hard to do being a Clemson student. All this recent discussion is certainly tempting, though. It's too bad that it's already Saturday night and I have no alcohol right now.

Though that also comes with changing rooms/roommates. My new roommate is highly against having alcohol in our room (honors dorm) because he doesn't want either of us to get in trouble for it with the higher repercussions that result. My old roommate....well....he was an entirely different story. Got into a pretty frequent (read: 2-4 times per day) habit of smoking marijuana, stopped going to class, blamed me for his problems, and ended up having his mom find out and remove him from Clemson after first semester.

What a terrible performance. The mascots had more team chemistry than the Canes.

And I guess I was wrong about Skinner too. What a stupid, selfish penalty to take. I hope Muller ripped into him.

I felt terrible for Boosh too. He got absolutely no help.

The last time I really got my drink on was in January when I was in Michigan. It was vodka then too, but Smirnoff's silver label instead. THAT was a fun night.

I lived in a single room in an upperclassmen dorm for most of my time in the dorms. Simply put, nobody cared what was going on in my room unless I set something on fire or it started to smell in some way--good or bad, I had someone come knock on the door when I had a wax tart burner on once because they thought I had a candle burning. Your ex-roommate sounds like a charmer, though. Was he smoking in the room? My ex-roommate was mostly just unbelievably gross and a drama llama. And I had to put the fear of god in her to get her to clean the bathroom--seriously, I cornered her with a curling iron. I was not even remotely ****ing around.

Remember back when we had a 4th line of Craig Adams, Trevor Letowski and Jeff Hamilton? Remember how much they sucked and you cringed every time they stepped on the ice?

Yeah, they were way better than the current 4th line. I have to credit Jim Rutherford for consistently finding a way to dig deeper holes.

Maybe next season he can find a way to put a goalie or one of the coaches on the 4th line. Defensemen and powerplay specialists just aren't doing enough to get us our lottery pick.

Yes, he was. I asked him to stop pretty much daily, but it was my fault that "I didn't have the right perspective" on the situation. He got a warning from me one day, and an indirect warning through me from our RA the following day. A couple days later, the RA ended up calling the Clemson police on him because it was getting out of control. And that is coming from the ********* dorm on campus, where the RA's don't care what you do and the hallways constantly smell of pot and alcohol. It was that bad that our RA actually had to do something about it.

Along with that, he didn't go to class much after a while as I said. He started staying up until 3-4 most nights and chose not to set an alarm, so I eventually stopped trying to wake him up for class when he wouldn't get up anyways. He'd typically smoke in the room a few times per day to the point that my room constantly smelled like either the smoke or some sort of spray (Febreze, Old Spice, smoke-out spray, etc), then would typically leave at night and go somewhere. He'd typically work his way back to the room by about 2AM and then start playing Super Smash Bros with his friends while I was trying to sleep, and I was basically stuck awake until he'd finally pass out for the night.

I'm just glad that his mom eventually found out on her own and that I'm in a better environment now where I am. I don't think I'd be sane if I were still rooming with the first guy.

Just got back from the game.

More like fan inebriation night.

But seriously, ****** game to be at, especially since this is my last one before I'm off to college out of state. End of an era for me, kinda sad. Not as sad as this ****-tastic performance though.

I'm pretty easygoing most of the time and I don't get mad easily or often. But when something annoys me to the point of putting forth effort to stop it, I want to make sure it stops right then and there, y'know? Example:

Me: If you don't stop hitting your snooze button I'm going to set your bed on fire with you in it.
Cabinmate: Hahahahaha, you're so funny.
Me: Laugh all you want, I've got plans for the space you're occupying.
Cabinmate: *stops laughing*
Me: I'm glad you understand. Want me to take that letter down to the office for ya?

See? No more snooze button, in 5 minutes or less.

Highlight of the night was my dad talking about following a shady car back to a meth lab. No joke. I don't know what caused him to say it but I busted out laughing.
