It's not baffling at all and it amazes me people don't see where the issue lies. What did Scrivens provide tonight? How many games have the Leafs lost this year when they've got good goaltending?

Maybe after 10x it is read we'll understand where this season started to go south and where this team still needs to fix before anything else starts to improve as a team.
You also need a number one center, a top line power forward, a number three center and a number one defenseman to truly fix the Leafs.

Seems like a better prospect than Jussi Rynnas, but with the need to get a veteran goalie, with Reimer in place and Owuya and Rynnas behind him, I don't see what they could do with him. I'd like to see the Leafs dump Gustavsson and Rynnas, maybe get that Joakim Eriksson. out of Sweden..

I agree with this, however I see scrivens leaving. I would love to have him as a number 3, but I dont know of he wants that.

Gusty, Scrivens and Rynnas are all UFA's this summer. If were keeping one, it's going to be Scrivens. We can roll with Reimer and a vet with the Leafs and Scrivens and Owuya on the Marlies. That's how I hope it goes.

Agreed. Scrivens is the one that seems the most solid. He played really well earlier this season and I was impressed then. I see him as a possible future starter on the Leafs.
The attendance will be better than if they had it in Columbus
Being from the Stirling area I thought it would have made more sense to have the Pens play the Leafs or something... given it's Matt Cooke's home town....
As for the game I was happy to see Kessel improve defensively. I'm getting a little tired of Lombardi skating around forwards only to launch the puck into the opposing goalies chest. If the guy had finish he'd be better than Crosby. I almost think he'd be better if he just slowed down and tried a novelty thing like aiming...
Kessel was apparently really receptive to the media after Tuesday's loss, he asked the reporters if anyone wanted to talk to him and gave better answer's than usual. Kessel absolutely needs a better C than Bozak though.
And a better winger than Frattin. If Grabo carried his line half as well as Kessel has, we'd be in the playoff picture atm.
