I got 3 tv's set up in my living room to get my money's worth out of my Center Ice. When the Devils play though I watch nothing else. Not even during intermission unless I got my buddies over. I usually reserve that for a bathroom break or make a snack.

I want to know the playoff beard start time too.

From what I know it is, you shave the day of the first playoff game.

But want to be sure.

EDIT: the 3 starts were Kovy, Sykora and Elias.

Isn't it strange to not give any star to a goalie with a shut out. No matter how easy it was? Was still 22 shots. At least a hand full stellar saves.

I'm growing out the ol' playoff beard and it is going to look awesome no matter what the miss thinks. She doesn't mind facial hair though, I don't know if I'd date a girl who did, I like to grow beards because I am a man who embraces my own masculinity through facial hair, deal with it woman.

Anyway, this was the perfect game for the Devils, I loved the effort from everyone and I'm hoping this can continue into the playoffs. Through thick and thin, I always had a good feeling about what this group can do this Spring...lets see what happens.

I really hope they can kill off the rest of the penalties they get this season they are really close to a 90% PK.

it is unbelievable how much better the PK got once they started to...you know, try and attack the puck carrier.

Compare this to the PK of last season and I don't think there is much comparison, we're so much better now

Our depth is incredible. Carter-Josefson-Bernier is an excellent fourth line.

Or the day of the first playoff game? What is it, exactly?

I know for a fact the beards don't start right now, though, like some are suggesting.
I shave the day before the first playoff game, and then don't touch it after that until we're out.

our 1,2,3 lines scoring is just amazing. Carter, Bernier...all play great. GO ON LIKE THIS

Salvador is great, too...didnt get the criticism in the first place...he really does it all!!!

great game, the team is ready for playoffs!!

ah and: SKINNER cant stand him, and tonight he showed again his class...2min, getting a goal...then getting another 2 min for unsportsmenlike conduct what a FAIL

Canes never showed up to this game. Very happy to see the team take full advantage of that. That said, some things still make me nervous. Specifically the Ds inability to cleanly move the puck out of the D zone and the top lines chemistry. The first one is self explanatory. It's been a big problem all year and it still is. Sal and Volch are huge grenade handlers back there. It's scary to watch. The second hopefully takes care of itself. I just wasn't all that impressed with them as a unit despite the goal. Like I said, though, it may just take care of itself as they get a few more games under their belts before the playoffs. Speaking of, man is it great to be officially back in. Feels good man.

Year, it's great to be back in the playoffs!

But we just beat dead teams like Tampa and the Hurricanes. We still don't know how good they're against good competition.

Ever since I've been able to grow a beard, the Devils haven't made it past the 2nd round. I'm not doing it this year and we'll see what happens.

And Pittsburgh just lost to the Islanders twice in a row. It still takes effort to win in this league.

Well, unless you're playing the Leafs.

Bleh, it sucks to be in the military during playoffs:

A) Cant grow a beard

B) Cant watch the games live / at all.

Its a step ahead in that we're not playing down to our opponents. Rather, playing our game no matter who we play.

Are you ever happy? Even if they are not in the playoffs, the former Whalers are still an NHL team (to my lasting chagrin), and the Devils dominated them. The outcome of this game was never really in doubt after the first period, and the scoring issues appear to be gone.
