Oh I know Seguin hasn't peaked but his skills and talent aren't limitless he's no Yzerman and he's no Toews + offensively he's no Kessel
We like to drool over what could have been and toss to the side what we do have as crap and what pisses me off what we do have is not that much older and is currently the better player between the 2 and getting better yet we dismiss that.

You don't think that it has anything to do with the system Seguin plays in? In Toronto Kessel gets a free pass in the defensive zone but in Claude Julien's system everyone is required to atleast to try playing a strong two-way game.
Kessel's icetime/game is 19:57 and Seguin's icetime/game is 17:00. That's 3 minutes less for Seguin.
Adjusted, if Seguin would play 19:57/game:
77 games 32 goals 43 assists = 75 points with +36
compared to Kessel's
79 games 37 goals 41 assists = 78 points with -12
Kessel has an edge in goals, as he should being an elite sniper, but offensively they look quite similar. Defensively, not so much.
