Thomas had a pretty funny "man overboard" moment in the SO, ending up on his back before Washington shooter Hendricks (I think) made it past the hash marks.

The Pens just had a 4-on-1 on their own PP. And failed.

Carter out for the rest of the regular season (and maybe into playoffs) with an ankle injury.
Playoff time = injury time.

At least he's slowly moving up the body. Before the end of his career, he'll sustain a pre-playoff concussion.

Just read in today's inky that Laviolette is the 5th winningest team coach, and in less than 3 seasons. Probably has more to do with our revolving coaching door, but still nice work!
1. Fred Shero*7 seasons 308-151-95 ***.642
2. Mike Keenan 4 seasons 190-102-28 ***.638
3. Pat Quinn 4 seasons 141-73-48 ***.630
4. Ken Hitchcock 3 seasons 130-77-39 ***.608
5. Peter Laviolette 3 seasons***120-71-25 ***.613

I really wish I was alive to watch Shero and his teams. He sounds like a really interesting character.

Chara just blasted a slap shot into his own teammate (Jordan Caron) which led to a breakaway goal for Gaborik. Strange sequence.
