I like the sound of Girgensons, not only for his bad ass name but he plays hockey the way Shero and Bylsma want it to be played. We'd pretty much ignored the WHL until the Morrow pick so maybe Shero and crew surprise us by picking a Euro playing in Europe.
As much as I like him, I doubt he makes it to 20-25...
From all the reading and research I've done, I would like us to go Swedish.
Yeah it seems like that's where a lot of the first round talent is coming from & since a lot of them play for their Swedish teams it's hard to see them play.

I don't really have anyone that I'm hoping for this season like Bartschi or Rattie last year and Etem or Niederreiter in 2010, but Girgensons sounds like he'd be a solid pick.
Did THN's draft issue come out yet? They closed my Borders, so I have no idea.
Nah... The Future Watch just came out though.
I'm hoping the Pens use a late round pick on Shaun McTigue. Completely owned D2 hockey in Jersey and outscored JVR on some travel teams. Overager but sometimes they work out.
Belleville Bulls vs Ottawa 67s on NHL Network right now.. if anyone wants to check out Payerl or draft eligible players like Subban, Ceci, Gaunce, etc.
I remember seeing NHL article where their west scouts had us at the 28th pick ( ) with Koekkoek falling to us cuz of injuries. Can't remember who the east scouts picked for us though

Has anyone had the chance to watch Henrik Samuelsson? I like what I've read about him but haven't seen him play. Would he look good in a Pens jersey on draft day?
Maybe well go for Subban. The cupboard is pretty bare on goaltenders tbh. But i rather see us use a pick in the 3rd or 4th round (where we also has an extra pick) on a gaolie.
But Brandon Saad is quickly looking like the pens version of Dan Marino. Hes been fantastic this year and cranked it up another notch in the playoffs. I think we're gonna regret passing on this local boy, even if morrow ends up being pretty good.

I'll stick with Morrow who is going to be the PP QB this team desp. needs. Once he, Despres and Letang are in the lineup together, their transition game will be something to behold.
A 6'1 205 lb blue liner with his combo of mean and skill is much more valuable than a player like Saad.
