With the Lightning out of the playoff race, RW Marty St. Louis said "the process of moving on" to a summer of training and next season "has started."
St. Louis said that is better than fretting over a disappointing season.
"Mentally, if you beat yourself up, it's not productive," he said Saturday. "We know we're not going to make the playoffs, so you have to start moving forward so you can finish the season strong. Don't get caught up in a rut because you're not in it."

The key, St. Louis said, is to find a reason to stay engaged.

As for St. Louis, he pointed to teammate Steven Stamkos, who entered Saturday with a league-best 55 goals.
"I'm playing for 'Stammer,' " St. Louis said, "so he can score as many goals as he can."
"It's tough not to (think about 60)," said Stamkos, who has four games to get four goals. "I get asked about it every day."
That said, "I'm not going to be pushing for it. I don't want guys to be passing up opportunities to try to get me that. If it's the right play, it's the right play."
