3 Way - Tor/Van/Phl

To Tor: Roberto Luongo
(Tor trades Armstrong, Schenn, 2nd in 2013)

To Van: Colby Armstrong, Matt Read, Sergei Bobrovsky, Tor 2nd 2013
(Van trades Luongo, 3rd)

To Phl: Luke Schenn, Van 3rd
(Phl trades Read, Bobrovsky)

Contructive criticsm welcome.

Feel free to modify trade as you see fit. Please take into consideration the length of Luongo's contract and how many teams would be willing to take him on, or even need him.

Cheers

Don't think this deal is too favourable for the Flyers.

So, Vancouver trades Luongo only to acquire Bobrovsky...

And Philly trades Matt Read and Bobrovsky and picks up...Luke Schenn.

Uh-huh.

Loungo never gets that much in return given his contract.

i know .
So let me get this straight.

The Leafs give up Armstrong, Schenn, 2nd in 2013 and in return get Luongo.
The Flyers give up Matt Read, Sergei Bobrovsky, and get back Luke Schenn, Van 3rd.
The Nucks give up Luongo and their 3rd ,and get back Colby Armstrong, Matt Read, Sergei Bobrovsky, Tor 2nd 2013.

You really believe the Flyers would do this?

From a VAN perspective:

To Van: Colby Armstrong, Matt Read, Sergei Bobrovsky, Tor 2nd 2013
(Van trades Luongo, 3rd)

Armstrong will be our 5th RW (healthy scratch or AHL) and at 3.0 that doesn't do much for us.

Matt Read - Nice piece.

Sergei Bobrovsky - If Luongo is traded Eddie Lack is ready to play the backup role. Bob's a nice piece with trade value, unfortunately not to the Canucks.

Tor 2nd 2013 - Probably in the 40-50 range.

The Canucks should politely decline.

Replace Read with JVR and it makes more sense.

Not really. JVR (assuming he's healthy in the offseason) alone is worth L. Schenn and a 3rd. We'd be giving Bobrovsky away for nothing.

I think Vancouver will not be trading any of their 2013 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round picks. They may have "other"plans for them.

There's no way the Canucks do this. Luongo would return a lot better than that. Deal makes no sense.

So the Flyers have more than 11mil tied up in goaltending for the next 8 years? OK, I'll buy it.

Armstrong has one year left and would be considered a salary dump.

Like I said, feel free to tweak deal as you see fit.

Carry on.

Read looks like a solid player but we want to get bigger not smaller in the top 6, reason why we traded Hodgson for Kassian. We can just cut out the Flyers and do something like Luongo to the Leafs for Luke Schenn plus their 2nd.

For a cap ceiling team like the Canucks, we really don't need a salary dump, especially since we're stacked with LWers.

Some Canuck fans suggested Schenn + a 2nd for Luongo, Colborne + 2nd for Luongo. All I did was add in Armstrong to help out with salaries a bit.

Other fans suggested Schenn was needed/wanted so I figured we'd make this even more interesting by bringing in Philadelphia. I assume they would welcome Luke.

If Colborne can't make the Leafs how will he make the Canucks? we have Schroeder ready and we don't have room for him. Schenn we could use, maybe, although Tanev is most likely going to be the RH D man on the 3rd pairing and Schenn is too much of a risk to go into next season hoping he can be Edlers partner when we're in win now. I'd do Schenn but Colborne won't have a spot on this team.
