This really sucks we don't get a pre-game show and especially a post-game show :-( Is it possible that MSG will go on the air in the locker room after the game? -or don't they ever do "spur-of-the-moment" shows?

LGR!!!! So pumped!!!

Absolutely. Some people don't care about this and I can certainly understand that, but I like the omen of the 94 team winning the President's trophy too.

Look at the West and see who is on top.....will this be a repeat of 94?

Aha! Sorry about that. Haven't been that active in following the NHL up to October 2010 and I thought it had been like that since the lock-out.

Okay... Last week we were discussing which was more important:

Resting players or clinching home ice advantage

Now we have done the latter so I am curious to see what you guys think is more important:

Winning the Pres. trophy or resting players?

I don't like resting players because you risk breaking the momentum and players not being focused come play-off time

Honestly, there could be a scenario where the Capitals winning their last game of the season would be beneficial for us (They get 3rd, Florida drops to 8th).

If things do in fact fall in place for such a scenario, I'd rest some players for that final game.

May as well just forfeit the game if it's that big of an advantage.

Would be very nice to play FLA in the 1st round. Sick of the Caps.

I prefer playing Washington in round 1. Why? Because we need to set things straight after last year.

Lets clinch first.

Go Wings Go as well, we got a shot to face FLA in round 1, but we might have to tank game 82

Engblom sounds very Swedish, maybe they'll be nice towards us.

Edit: I know realized they're broadcasters and not referees as I first thought.

He's Canadian. He was a defenseman on the last Habs dynasty.

Yeah, Brian isn't a Swedish name but Engblom is, so his ancestors must have been Swedish.

Thank you Philly, starting to like Brayden Shenn (nice Xcheck on Cindy)... having lived through the "dark" days of the NYR, a night like tonight is a true treat... 2 PTS FOR THE CLINCH!

I know I did that once when I switched planes at Minneapolis, it's littered with Swedish names. Andersson/Anderson was extremely common, many pages thick. I had a good laugh about it

It's not really on the line. We're definitely going to win it. If we lose in regulation, we will have three more games to get a point, and that's if Pittsburgh wins out.

Caps are going to be tougher then they were. Backstrom is back and it is a different team with him. Plus they will prob play Holtby and he will do what Varlamov and Neuwvirth did to us. Some rookie stealing the series. Our luck we play the Panthers and Wolski ends up burning us.
