Absolutely. If that was Rinaldo hitting Sid (or any non-good player on the Pens for that matter) he would be losing **** along with the rest of Pens Nation.
I have no problem with the hit, if it was a flyer hitting a penguin we would be jumping for joy. I also dont have a problem with the way the flyers responded, i would of been upset if they didnt respond and pen fans, you cant tell me your team wouldnt of responded if it was one of your big guns taking a big hit with a minute left.
I do have a problem with all crosbys whining, dang it gets old. He needs to grow a set and just play hockey

If I recall correctly, Harts had a problem with Rupp mocking Jagr's salute at the WC. This is a completely different thing though, so I'd love to see him do this!

Yea him and Giroux did and the plan was that if they scored another goal in that game that Flyer would do Anisimov's gun shot celebration pointing at the Rangers bench. Unfortunately they didn't score again in that game, even if they still lost that would have been classic.

Lets pretend that was Hartnell steamrolling Malkin like that, we would be all for that and going bananas. I would however expect the pens to not let that go bye. I do however think Asham jumpin on Schenn like that had more to do with his pushing of Crosby than anything else. (I'm not sure if Schenn approached Asham or vice versa.)
Yes he can he plays for the phantoms. But if its for home ice i think they should just leave it alone and win the game.

Mathers is like shelly in that, other than fighting he doesnt have anything else. I didnt even say that though, Larry did, and Larry likes tough fighter guys. That being said, I heard he does do a good job fighting. A shame he has no other abilities though.
EDIT: Mathers cant get called up since its a combination of no contract and 50 contract limit. Actually he MIGHT be able to play if he gets a contract, since he is 18 and would go under the 9 game rule if Im not mistaken.

Pretty much. The only difference is he can at least skate. But Mathers in the old NHL would be a top 10 HW. The enforcer is a dying role so i don't really see him in the NHL that much unless he starts adding more to his game.
Even though Laviolette did a tremendous job today in matching lines, I think the home ice is even more important now so he can match with a little more ease because our new shutdown line of talbot-couturier-rinaldo seems to be really giving malkin alot of frusteration and throwing him off his game.. Cooter inparticular (what a steal at 8th overall, is there anyone else in the first round this year that would be being matched up against malkin in a playoff series, and has already done a great job against him
I’m a Ranger fan and I watched today’s game. The reason I don’t want to face the Penguins in the playoffs is that I know that there is no way I can enjoy watching the games. Cindy, Malkin, Latang and all their star players have a license to do anything they want. Particually Cindy and Malkin. I have to say what Schenn did to Cindy was brilliant. After Cindy gets away with two slashing penalties, Shinn crosschecks him in the back. I think Schenn knew that the puck was in and had a free shot at getting back at Cindy. If the Refs would start treating then like everyone else, maybe people would stop hating them so much.
WHAT A GAME! I don't really follow these teams all that much but that was amazing. Too bad one of these two will be out after the first, they are fun to watch.
