I'm surprised that they showed the baby killing. It was kind of just glossed over in the book.

Why? I though they were both really good scenes.

So I just realized that sometime between the end of the first season and the start of this season, I stopped getting HBO.

Anyone know of a stream or torrent available until I can sort out this HBO stuff with my cable provider?

Good premiere. Dinklage was awesome as ever. Looking forward to seeing Brienne.

I wasn't disappointed at all with this premier. The only problem I have is that Ned is still dead.

Tyrion seems even better than last year.

I wonder how many guards Gendry would have ****ed up if he hadn't already left King's Landing before the culling.

How so? He's a coward who thinks too highly of himself, as someone who's read the full series to this point I think it was pretty accurate.

i've read the full series also and i could never picture Littlefinger telling Cersei he knows about the incest, what is there to gain from it? nothing. He's a subtle manipulator, he doesn't just flat out tell people what he knows imo.

edit:
Spoil:
except Sansa to an extent

He wasn't as subtle as he could have been, but I think it was him gauging how much power he had over the situation which is definitely Littlefinger-esque.

Also, I'm digging seeing Robb through a PoV that isn't his mother, his badassery is emphasized that much more this way.

Its easier to subtley hint at something through text, on TV you have to be more upfront. It's very in character and in fact I'm almost sure he did it in the book as well it just wasn't as noteworthy.

but he didn't have any power over the situation lol. Idk it just kind of felt like they were trying to make it more obvious to the viewers that he isn't loyal to the Lannisters and he'll betray whoever; but we already knew that.

agree on Robb.

It was basically "I heard you pick your nose" "yeah, well you stink" She decided to poke at a sensitive issue so he went and did the same as a way to puff his chest. Of course she anted up.

hopefully this got huge numbers tonight. If it did we could hear of a renewal for a 3rd season as early as Tuesday.

The hype has been through the roof for the past few weeks. I'm sure the numbers will be very good.

Greywind was badass looking, to bad they didn't find a way to sneak Ghost or Summer (and I guess Shaggydog)in.

So why on Shaw HD and HBOHD does Game of Thrones look so SD? The blacks are very pixelated.

Agreed. Robb is pretty much my favourite character and I'm sure I'll start to like him even more this season.

Tryrion is pretty boss too though.
