Ty Rattie is currently showing why he should have went in the first round.
When he was a rookie, I would have put money that he would go in the top 15. If I was given odds I might have bet top ten. And I never would have guessed that he would be cut from the World Junior team. Well in both cases I was wrong, but I still contend that I should have been right, Rattie went way lower than he should have, and when he becomes a steady 30 goal scorer in a couple years I'm going to be bumping my posts.
Not to mention why he should've made Canada's world junior team. Is he eligible next year?
first 2 games are on the 6 and 7 for sure, not sure about the rest but your schedule makes sense. I heard Sam Consentino on the Pipeline Show say he wanted Sportsnet to present at least a game from that series. Should be a good showdown with Drouin playing well, Frk back and so on to add to the mix.
Yeah, I can't wait for it. I'd be shocked if Sportsnet didn't get a game in; with MacKinnon and Grigorenko.

Rattie is a very good offensive player but he has big holes in his game that must be fixed for the next level, his intelligence away from the puck is not very good. With his nose for the net if he ever learns a somewhat 2-way game he'll be a great player.
Cody Ceci had a real good 2 way game tonight. Having seen him play over 50 times this year I liken his defensive game to a Filip Kuba. He's a BIG BOY but he isn't a mean player what-so-ever but his angling and stick work are fantastic. He doesn't need to be physical to be effective. He has a much better shot then Kuba already though. Kid has a bomb from the blue-line.
Prince was great too. His skating question's are HUGELY overblown. He has kind of a weird skating stride but he is deceptively fast and seems to catch defenceman off guard quite often.
Monahan is a beast. Damn, I think he would go top 5 if he was eligible THIS year.
Unfair advantage of having 1 more in the CHL than others because of his age. But he does have skills off the charts, his development curve is one year ahead of others though.
MacKinnon will have 120 points in the QMJHL next year and blow everybody away.

It'll be very interesting to see how Monahan does being 'the man' offensively next year. Shane Prince and Tyler Toffoli are both going pro so next year it's his team.
If he can carry the team he has a legit shot at challenging for #1.
Halifax will be good, but I don't know if they'll be good enough to afford MacKinnon an opportunity at 120pts especially with WJC camp and tournament taking up all of December and some of January.

He'll miss about the same number of games as he did this year. But he'll definitely hit 100 - 110 even with time missed IMO.
Maybe he'll get 168 like some other guy did in his 17yo season

The Barrie Colts and Ottawa 67's won tonight and will face each other in round 2. We'll have Game 1 of their series on #FridayNightHockey
Ugh, I can't believe Sportsnet is not showing Mooseheads/Remparts. Especially when they showed Ottawa last week.
The Remparts/Mooseheads do have Game 5 scheduled for Friday the 13th, but you'd think the WHL is due for a game...
