I'm so glad everyone is pissy about winning. My GDT for Tuesday was depending on it.

Plus if he has an awesome camp that would show us that he is serious. Potentially start him off at 2C and move Cullen down to a 3rd winger.

He gives us a few options.

And oh god yes please fire Terhaar and Greenlay.
I don't see us moving Cullen from Center. His faceoff percentage is too good. Not to mention Christensen isn't much of a two-way player. Honestly, the guy should just play wing.

Really liked his game against L.A.

Also, the Wild are unbeaten when he's playing, so that's good.

Was absolutely awesome tonight. Did not see him hardly at all tonight.

I get that he is probably being sheltered because he is new, but that seems to run contradictory to the "get him up here, rum him through his paces, and see where he needs to improve" sort of crap that they were saying when they signed him to an ELC rather than an ATO down in Houston.

I am interested to see what you've come up with, Generic User.

Also it felt like I didn't get much feedback for this GDT compared to most GDT's I make. I am honestly left wondering how people felt about it.

Yeah but the way the game started I'm glad he wasn't out there that much, would really suck to have him get hurt in a chippy game

Towards the end I wish he would have been played more though

Not one of my favorite, but that's because of the compression which made the text difficult to read.

Don't worry, dude. You still make the best GDT's on this board.

Edit: Also, I really like when a GDT has a theme. Couldn't figure out the theme today.

Very well done GDT. Took a little effort to read the away team's writing. Well done, though.

Yeah the compression on this one was maddening because I wanted it to look like an old static-covered image from when your antenna could just BARELY pick up a signal. None of Jpeg, png, or gif played very nice. Gif and png both resulted in image sizes of over 1.2 megs and I try to keep my stuff around 750k both to save peoples bandwidth and to save my photobucket accounts bandwidth. If I can upgrade to a pro account sometime I could think about posting larger GDT's as far as bits go. I could also post links to the full quality images of my existing GDTs which in some cases look WORLDS better.

As for the theme... I was originally just going to cut the GDT off after the Nordyfail and not even post records or lineups, but then decided to poke fun at FSNorth because they really are that terrible that I know if Mike Yeo really did discover the meaning of life, they would cut the feed off just as he was about to share it.

If I had gone with our resident marney's suggestion all the way this GDT would have just been a blank image or all static, no nothing

Another last minute idea I had would have been to scramble all the words in the thread title and then post the 24 constituent images in random order since it's April Fools day, but that would have been over the top I think

Yeah I probably should have reversed the red and black of the Chicago lineup text after I saw what compression did to it, but that would have meant retyping it all.

I really do want your feedback guys, both positive and negative cause I want to keep doing this next year and make them even better if at all possible. I just need to come up with a bunch of ideas over the summer and space them out a bit more next year. This is the 9th one I've done since I started doing image GDT's in February. I don't know how many I want to do next year.

Plus I'll have to come up with themes that celebrate winning rather than failure, if the Wild do as we think they will

There's always room in Houston.
This isn't NHL 12. That's not how two-way contracts work. A two-way simply means he gets paid less if he's in Houston. He's still subject to waivers, and after a couple of weeks into the season, there's absolutely no way he'd clear. Also, I haven't checked the GP but I'm almost certain he's subject to re-entry waivers as well.

Well for one thing Almond plays center...and another thing is they must not want to start Bulmer's ELC.

Almond's always been right on the edge of making the team....he's had some injuries this year I believe but I expect him to be in the running for that 4th line center spot next season. Probably him and Peters and maybe another guy in that race.

Agreed. Honestly, I don't know why we didn't, though. Gets him some more experience and lets us have another young player come in, lottery gods willing. I would have liked to see a year burned off since we don't have many pieces going in 3 years. Sure, if we re-sign Heatley and Seto, Heatley's pay cut will go towards Seto's raise. I think that will even out and thought that would be a perfect year for another ELC ending. But, there are smarter men than I.

I would also like to burn a year off of Bulmers ELC.

I think if we see a winger go down we might see him. this might simply be a case of not wanting to force a 4th line winger to play center or something. Who knows with this team these days.

I think Bulmer's going to make an impact with the team almost immediately. If this is the case, every year of his ELC is going to be very valuable.

Also, Almond kills penalties. With Zucker already up (and not an NHL PK guy at the moment) they probably want to shore up that facet.
