Staal vs Malkin, more valuable player?

Who is more valuable to their team? I'm not talking about the better player, just the more valuable one.

Let's see.

Malkin: good point producer, plays with a big goal scorer (neal) which helps him a lot
Staal: plays alone most of the time, is a beast, kills penalties and is strong on his skates.

Who is more valuable to his team? Jevgeni or Jordan?

Jordan, not close. Poll isn't fair.

How is this even a poll? Staal actually plays defense while Malkin cherry picks all game. I take the amazing 2way player over Evgeni "defensive-liability" Malkin anyday.

I also love the fact that Staal plays alone most the time. I find having a one-man forward line really keeps the other forwards fresh to make up for all Malkin's miscues throughout the game.

Staal and I don't say this very often but, !AINEC!

Malkin helps Neal more than Neal helps Malkin.

Malkin won an Art Ross before Neal was on the team.
Neal's highest point total was 55 before Malkin. Now he has 80.

But to answer the poll question: Malkin. I do like Staal, though.

I'll take the Selke-caliber Canadian center before the soft, stat padding Russian every time.

Yeah, the right answer is Staal and by a clear margin.

Malkin is only a good point producer and largely a product of Neal.

Staal, as you said, is a BEAST, totally KILLS penalties and has skates. He is AMAZING.

Staal is overall a better player, so him. Hart should go to the best overall player and for the very same reason Weber should get the norris over Karlsson
