God dammit I love George Parros, too. I wish wish he'd play the way the Ducks need him to.

One more year please.

Hoping, irrationally, Parros can reinvent himself, i.e. improve skating and be nasty.

Hoping, also irrationally, BM will pull the right moves considering he mentioned he wants tp have team that plays like Bruins.

Yeah, I used to as well. But tonight pretty much iced it for me - liberties were being taken by the Oilers and he was a complete non-factor. He had the opportunity to take Barker to task for fighting Getzlaf and.....held off on laying a hard hit, even though the officials at that poin weren't calling a damned thing. He also failed to even talk to Sutton as far as I could tell. He doesn't have the skills to make up for being a passenger in the rough stuff department.

Sutton's a freak size-wise, but he wouldn't fight Parros. Sutton got knocked out by a guy 6 inches shorter and 50 pounds lighter.

Management needs to determine if he's playing that way because of injuries or if it's a permanent change. He was never nasty, but he was better at doing something about people taking liberties. Also if Boudreau even believes in that kind of thing.

If Boudreau does want toughness, and if Parros isn't just still having lingering effects, then hopefully they get someone who will enforce. Even if they do think it's just injuries and keep Parros they might consider getting a backup who can play in the AHL and maybe step in if needed.

I wouldn't hold my breath on the Boston thing. The past few years he's been copying Detroit and Pittsburgh, the previous champions. We all see how successful he was in doing that. Too reactionary and not enough follow-through.

My friend ended up getting the teemu signed stick at the end of the game and he ended up giving it to some kid.... I understand that 99 percent of the time they go to kids but in this case teemu didn't point to anyone he just threw the thing into the crowd.... Funny thing is he came up with glass seats an hour before the game and im the first person he calls, but I had to decline.... THERE IS NO WAY I DONT GO HOME with that stick if I had the seat....

It's one thing not to have someone enforce, it's another to have them just look the other way. Parros hasn't done anything. Unfortunately, Getzlaf is the one who is having to step up for players.

I'm done with Parros personally. I'd live with a 600k contract for him to be the 13th forward spot. However the team needs to get someone who can play a regular shift and fill the enforcer role, even if they aren't a true enforcer.

True that!!!
It's a well known fact that people just find the first team around with a losing record....and run right out to buy tickets to their last home game.
heehee
Kducks told you in your usual thread. We stayed until the bitter end, sadly waving and saying goodbye to our favorite Powerplayer, Tara. Her last game.
And btw, the booze is flowing here as well.

They just wanted the free stuff.

We were in line collecting our winnings the 2nd intermission...guess we'll have to meet up at the Yard House to spend them.

What a sad season...and sadly, with Murray at the helm, it looks like more of the same.
Lowered expectations.

Props to Clark for his NHL debut. Didnt notice him much and I guess thats a good sign. Didnt get caught out of position, made some simple, safe plays. Good. Now if Lydman is ready to play next game, send Clark down to help Syracuse to secure playoff spot.

Props also to BB for dressing Parros. I bet this was last time we saw him in Honda center (at least in Ducks jersey).

My evaluation of Clark would be that he never made a bad play but also never made a play that stood out(almost always rimmed the puck around the boards).

Clark turned the puck over the first time he touched it, then went on playing really well later in the first and throughout the second, then was cought with another turnover in the the third and a failed clearing attempt right after that. Just judging from one game, he's still a little raw, but should have a future in the NHL with the style he plays. Think he'll make for a decent injury call up next season, but is perhaps at least another year away from a full time role with the club.

Looking pretty good to be picking top 5 here. Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary are last 3. Heh.

Getzaf, Brookbank and co having to do the enforcing as we didn't have an enforcer in the team. Again, heh.

Oh well, on to next season.

I know no-one likes the budget, but it's a must as long as the CBA stays the same. It's not like the Ducks weren't in a position to be a playoff team with the budget that is set.

Can't really expect the owners to go all out to the cap just because Teemu might be retiring, face of the franchise or not. Much rather see us potentially spend close to the cap when the team is in a position to compete rather then trying this season.

Next time you shell out money to DOUBLE your already league top 5 losses then you can talk. Doing what you are talking about is how you end up with a new, likely worse, owner. Buy more bear and he will spend more.

The Beer Defense. I like it. So what if I'm a billionaire? I'm not moving enough beer to ice a decent team!
