More Granlund news. They say he's not totally fully recovered at the moment. National team candidates head to Switzerland (training camp), but Granlund stays in Finland. They're worried about his long and mysterious flu earlier this season. So Mikke concentrates to build his physical capacity next 1-2 weeks. Doctors think that a possible new infection could ruin his WC, if he's not 100%.
He signed that contract because the Wild management haven't offered him a contract and he can keep developing in Finland and win another golden medal in FEL.
I'm pretty sure that the first one, staying home / flu like symptoms -article, is true. Figured it for a while before posted. It's not provocative enough for a april fool thing. Like Mikael misses WC entirely etc.. And there are multiple sources, including quotes from head coaches and doctors.
Can't guarantee, but think it's a real thing. Mononucleosis could make sense. He never was himself after the long flu. What is most important, for the first time, somebody admits Granlund isn't 100% ok at the moment. While it has been visible before IMO.

While I didn't believe it. It's a believable premise. How I view Finland is that Granlund is basically a prince, and he has the privileges with the women of Finland that those types had back in the day. Similar to how if Joe Mauer had a personality (and the desire to do so) he could have nearly any female Twins fan in Minnesota
Thus it's believable that 2 straight years of partying with about 60 percent of Finland's female population... could back fire

Well I'm sure there is some demand among young ladies. Publicity has been quite kind though. Partly because HIFK made a sponsorhip deal with a local sensation magazine, 7 päivää (Seven Days). Coincidence?

So are we going to sign him anytime soon? People keep saying he is busy with other things... hockey, school, military. So when is he going to stop being busy and sign his damn contract?
