Coming in Peace, Looking for help

Hey everyone,

Dont shoot! I'm starting work on a pens/flyers playoffs series preview video (because its looking more and more likely to happen) and i need some help from the other side. Even though I'm a pens fan (obviously), I'm trying to make this the least biased i can so i need some material from the other side.

If you guys know of any videos of flyers players talking about the rivalry with the pens and big moments the flyers have had against the pens, it would be great if you could post them here or PM them to me. I have no problems finding the pens' highlight reel moments because I remember them all but I like to block out most of the times where the flyers get the best of us, just like I'm sure you guys do with the pens.

Anything really from the last 3 years or so would be fantastic. Anything, goals, hits, fights, interviews etc. I just need stuff that shows the intensity of the rivalry. I dont want to make a pens highlight video, i want it to be a series preview which is why i need clips or both side. You don't need to do all the work and find me the videos (although that would be great) but even just saying like "hey so and so scored during whatever season against the pens" could help.

Anyways, thanks for any help you guys can hopefully give me.

How about Hartnell's OT winner 2 weeks ago? I'm pretty sure he had some quotes when he was getting interviewed on the bench after the game & in the lockerroom.

You could probably find a lot of post-game quotes...all about finding the articles though (through www.csnphilly.com & http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/flyers/

Emphasize the side switches, obviously. Quick cuts from Jagr/Talbot holding the Cup to shaking Homer's hand, etc .

I think Hartnell's quotes today about fearing the Igloo, but feeling more comfortable in the CEC would be good, but I haven't seen an audio version of that yet. Otherwise, I've seen plenty of interviews from both sides talking about their opponents.

yeah, the plan. I never go exactly according to plan when i make them but the rough outline is something like this:

Dramatic music at the start:
Clips/sound bites of players/coaches talking about rivalry
Clips/sound bites of players/coaches talking **** on the other team (gutless, classless etc etc)
Build up in the music:
Clips of the teams getting into scrums (not actual fight or hits but the stuff before fights)
Pause in the music:
One defining clip like the last playoff series, the pens celebrating and philly looking defeated
Then the hardcore music:
highlight time
Ending will be some analyst talking about how the playoff series would be crazy and a final graphic.

I'm not an expert at this or anything and I've only ever made 2 highlight videos but i think there pretty good. Heres the one i made about a week ago so you get some idea of what it might look like

I promise im trying not to be too homerific but I'm a pretty big homer

Include a tid bit about how our jerseys are so much nicer than yours. That's a must.

Although, I guess itd already be pretty obvious, given the visual itself.

The question is, does that alone do justice to how much better they are?

The thought of Couturier matching up against Malkin for the foreseeable future makes me all kinds of giddy. We can already see it's a challenge he relishes, one which spurs him to raise his game. I think Couturier's actually the perfect player for that role, too, and he's going to give Malkin fits as he continues to mature physically.

That Jeff Carter trade is the gift that keeps on giving.

Love how he visits Malkin after the whistle with a little bump here and there, then Malkin turns around and swings. Coots just flashes his toothless grin and keeps going. Unbelievable composure and balls from a 19 y/o rookie playing and keeping one of the best players in the league in check, for the most part. Be ready Baby Huey, Coots will be in your back pocket for the next two weeks!
