Tough to say for sure. Hamill is injured, and this would be a good time to cut the kid loose, to be honest. It's time both sides moved on.

The team's leading goal scorer is Craig Cunningham, so he should be in the mix. Add in Camper, MacDermid, Whitfield, Hennesey and Sauve and those are your (forward) Aces this year.

On D, Warsofsky should be in. Bartkowski is injured. Cohen is a mess but has a little NHL experience under his belt. Bodnarchuk is next in line, although rookie Kevan Miller had a better year overall.

Once again: Looking forward to next year.

Ryan Spooner arrived in Providence today.

Still needs medical clearance to play, but says he's feeling much better than over the weekend and is hoping to finish out the season in AHL game action.

Will keep updated...

Kirk can/will Spooner be a black Ace? I don't think there is any chance he would play in postseason and for some reason I think it soul affect his contract if he did. But I would think it would be interesting to have him get some practice time and potentially just hang out with the team for a while.

Yes, he could do that and it probably makes sense for Boston to bring him up for that purpose.

Can't wait to see Spooner play. Would have been nice if we could get Dougie Hamilton, but is he even eligible due to his age. Not sure if his team is in the playoffs either.

Side note:anyone need P. Bruins flex tickets. Got a couple I'm trying to get rid of. PM me if interested. Thanks!

Hamilton could have played for Providence if his team had been eliminated in the 1st round of the OHL playoffs. Niagara wasn't and Spooner's club (Sarnia) was, hence his presence on the AHL club.

We'll see him in due time. You can tell the P. Bruins season is done when they start bringing in the prospects. And sadly some of them have done better than the guys who have been here all year. cough, Colby Cohen, cough.....

Ryan Spooner looks to be in vs. Worcester. Cleared to play and expects to make his 1st AHL appearance this season.

Just passing that along.

Projo had a nice update on the PBees today: http://blogs.providencejournal.com/s...worcester.html

There's also a nice article from Mark Divver on defensemen Kevan Miller, whose having a great rookie year. He plays a good physical game and has racked up a more-than-respectable 21 points this year. He's also a +16, easily best on the team, and has close to 100 pims.

All the artillery is starting in this Providence/Worcester game tonight. Might see some action off the jump here.

PB's up 1-0. Hennessy scored on a beauty pass from Sauve.

Spooner (wearong #18) is faaaast. Won a nice clean d-zone draw earlier in the first. Also a nice scoring opportunity a little later on.

2-0 Providence.

Spooner leading the rush, forces the D to back up and then makes a sweet drop pass to Bodnarchuk who rifles it home.

2-0 Providence end of the 2nd.

Sauve and Spooner are both flying. Best two forwards tonight so far.

Does it burn a year of Spooner's ELC if he plays tomorrow and Krejci gets the day off?

I know it won't happen because it's probably too much, but it would be interesting, for sure.

Wow!! Relax, they are playing okay but far from best players.
PS Spooner is not going to jump into the lineup and be a star. Need to chill out on your expectations.

Lol ok buddy. They're both playing well tonight. Best forwards so far tonight. Key word, tonight. Where did I ever say Spooner was gonna jump in and be a star?

Reading comprehension, how does it work?

is there still a slim chance Prov makes the playoffs, or has that ship sailed?

My bad. Too much NHL playoff race talk clouding my already feeble mind.
