First Round Playoff Analysis So Far

London-Windsor (London wins in 4)
No surprise here

Plymouth-Guelph (Series tied at 2)
I thought Guelph might steal a game but didnt think it would be tied going into game 5. although Plymouth has seemed to turn it on in the last two.

Kitchener-Owen Sound (Kitchener wins in 5)
No surprise, exactly what I predicted especially with no Halmo.

Sarnia- Saginaw (Saginaw leads 3-2)
I do not know if i would say im surprised as the series is close but going into it I thought Sarnia would take this one.

East
Niagara-Oshawa (Series tied at 2)
Big surprise here, I had Niagara in 4. Imagine if they fall in the first round.

Ottawa-Belleville ( Ottawa leads 3-2)
Seems that Ottawa will win as many predicted but also closer than I thought.

Barrie- Mississauga (Tied at 2)
Just what many thought would happen a tight series that can easily go seven games.

Brampton- Sudbury (Brampton wins in 4)
I think the biggest surprise thus far in the first round. Not to take anything away from Brampton because they deserve the credit for a heck of a series but I thought Sudbury would win this one and they got smoked.

No Halmo, no Gavrus, no Maiden, and only 15 players on the bench...
but what was nice to see was how the underage rookie Bigras performed. He was second in points only to Brace. Owen Sound should be a good team next year.

Why did Owen Sound only have 15 skaters?

Credit to those 15 skaters - they gave it all they had and didn't look nearly as tired as they should have.

Kitchener was missing a few key players as well, but were able to plug in players (something they got used to doing all season).

Really gotta think the 67's finish the series off in Belleville and look forward to seeing them compete in the second round after last season's disapointment.
