They actually shown and replayed more of that stuff yesterday than you can (better expression is "can't" actually) find on the internet today, including the annoucners saying few times that Crosby/Malkin should go to the box etc. E.g. I can't find today any of those Crosby slashes (on Giroux after the face off and Voracek later in the game) or Malking punching Giroux's head into the ice

One telling stat that hasn't been brought up yet was Giroux success off the faceoffs against Crosby. 7 for 9....

May have been one of the reasons Sidney was getting so flustered and was slashing off the drawls.

I love it, a 19 yo rookie getting into the head of the league MVP. And he takes it in stride and is even instigating it, incredible composure and balls from Coots. Keep it up kid, those punches that Malkin is throwing will get penalized and it will be in the playoffs. Settig the tone now, only to capitalize on it later. Coots is going to be in his back pocket for the next two weeks!

The last few games teams have been targeting Giroux's wrist, I wouldn't put it past anyone on the pens to try and reinjure it. He doesn't get the protection from the league that cindy does.

So do most players in the NHL, Crosby and Giroux is the more important matchup considering they will most likely be on the ice against each other in the postseason.

I really liked the response to the Briere hit. The whole team just said "oh HELL no." It's good to see that the players are on the ice for each other going into the playoffs.

This team fights for each other. Literally and figuratively. That is something I absolutely love.

Funny because 98% of them didn't want to see him set foot on a professional ice surface again after he lost his mind against Springfield, and now he's going to play savior and protector from big bad Schenn and Rinaldo.
