What's great is, even though Grossmann has been awesome for us, since he went out during the game, MAB really stepped up well.

It's pretty amazing that neither Hartnell nor Simmonds has missed a game, considering their style of play.

Was at the game today...dunno how it looked on TV, but Grossmann's knee got rocked...I would be surprised if it's actually day to day.

I had a much, much bigger issue with Vitale even being in the game at that point. Back in the first period, he ripped a page out of the Bryan Marchment handbook in the way he recklessly -- I won't say deliberately, because it's hard to judge intent -- stuck out his leg to initiate knee-to-knee contact with Flyers' shutdown defenseman Nicklas Grossmann.

Screw home ice, bring up all heavyweights and make Saturday ugly and take out some Pens to even it up.

What a brutal season for Briere.
I guess Bylsma has decided to start having his players target ours before the playoffs. Malkin headhunts Giroux, then you have all this nonsense.

I take it this kind of injury is pretty mild usually, no? No more than a week?

The injury thing game to game is just getting absurd. We're more than fortunate to have this depth but any team losing this many significant pieces would all but throw in the towel by now.
Pronger
JVR
Meszaros
Grossman
Briere
....When would game 1 of the playoffs be? Wednesday the 11th? Thursday?
Wednesday the 11th they start. Hope we get game 1 on Thursday though, extra time for the wounded to heal.

Rinaldo should take a run at Sid or Malkin. Do one of his trademark charges.

If it's really just a back bruise, what's the big deal? They're probably just resting him.

A totally unnecessary hard hit late in the game when their team was losing that resulted in an injury.
The NHL really can't do anything about it, so the Flyers need to do something...
