As an Ajax fan.. that move by Martens hurts...

Ajax is not in great shape this season. Lot of injuries and a lot of players playing below their standards. Still.. we are only 5 points behind the leader.

Eredivisie is just a mess right now. Does anyone actually wants to be champion? PSV and AZ tied for first yet both losing 3-0 on the road this afternoon. I watched the PSV game and they were horrible.

3 Heerenveen 43

5 Ajax 40
6 Twente 39 (2 games in hand)

Next week there's AZ-Heerenveen, and PSV-Feyenoord (without John Guidetti who got a 2nd yellow yesterday after scoring a pen then taking off his shirt )

PSV - Feyenoord was a great match, as was AZ - Heerenveen.

If PSV can beat Twente next week they'll be in solid position. But noone has been consistent enough to really start claiming the title. Who knows, Ajax not having any EL matches now could help them.

Pretty good considering he's only 19. He plays a very direct style, always looking for the quickest way to the goal. Knows how to get open and make room for himself. Thrives on big games, he scored hattricks against both Ajax and Twente this season. He has a bit of a temper though, but I think that's because he just really cares about the game and his team, and he wants to win so bad.

And the fail goes on, after BAD losses to Valencia and freaking NAC. Rutten gets booted, but I blame the players more than anything. Apathetic. Something needed to be done though. We need a motivator as coach. I hope Cocu or Ten Hag have such skills.

Van Gaal I guess? During the 94/95 season where Ajax were the best of Europe and the world (aahhh... those were the days.... ), Ajax didn't lose a game in the Eredivisie.
