Price is just bad luck but all the other concussions and stuff around the league are a matter of the players and equipment today being too big for the ice surface. Plus add in more diagnoses and you've got a concussion epidemic. Aside from that, we lead the league in man games lost to injury but it seems even when we had those hurt players we weren't making the playoffs anyway. That said the new GM has to make this team a lot less fragile. They've been in the top 10 in man games lost to injury for four straight years now I believe, or at least 3 of the last 4. Our only healthy teams in my 20 years of watching the Habs were from 92-94, in 95-96, 97-98 and from 06-08. Otherwise we've always been injury ravaged. Mostly because of a smurf makeup too. Maybe this perfect storm of injuries, inconsistency, poor play and no leadership from the top down was a positive. It could get us Yakupov or at the very least Grigs, Forsberg or Galchenyuk. Or even McKinnon next year and those two additions would be the superstars we've needed. Add in Timmins' ability to find gems outside the 1st round and we'd be in business.
Nah, Bourque has been invisible offensively, but had made a few nice defensive plays recently. Campoli wouldn't know a defensive play if he took it on a date.
I would hope people will give Bourque the chance he deserves next year. He's had an off year, but otherwise he's been a very useful player for Calgary in the past. I would hope there's a bit of patience in his case.
His disastrous stint with us aside this year, I'm eager to see how he responds to a 2nd/3rd line role next year. Hope he gets his head on right this summer.

Yeah, I agree, he deserves a fresh start next season before we throw in the towel for sure.
He still has been a major part of this tank though.
Could Price be playing with a undiagnosed concussion?
Interesting comments from him tonight, the more interesting one for me is how he claims our guys wouldn't stand around if he gets run , BUT we've seen way too many times him get run and our guy's do nothing ! Is Price playing with a concussion??

Bourque also would never engage in physical contact so him colliding with Price is very unlikely.
Price got the no.2 overall pick concussion. I predict, in my head, that habs will find a way to remove Price for the last 3 games.... and oomg they just did haha.

Cmon people, you don't believe its real?
i gotta be careful as to what i say, i don't want it to come true.
If your sitting here next year 3 months in and his gga is in the dump, will know .
They traded away anything that was a threat to Price, had nothing developing in the minors.
What happens if this was second week of 2013 season?
They would trade for one or sign one, of course. There are always goalies available which is why, historically, goalies have low trade value. Maybe not long-term solutions, but there's plenty of patchwork options most of the time.
so you suspescted he was playing with a concussion in november, meanwhile he's only been feeling funny since colliding with someone on thursday. did you think he was playing with a concussion in december, january, february and march?
Yeah, I agree, he deserves a fresh start next season before we throw in the towel for sure.

Time for unfounded psychological speculation based on no training in the field and no insider information from yours truly!
I belive Rene Bourque is the kind of guy who goes with the flow. He stays on the energy level of the group he is in. He is not a leader but if the team is pulling in one direction he will follow. In other words, he sucks right now mostly because the team sucks.
