Putting all disdain and dislike aside as i have for the Ducks, Teemu Selanne is really one of the classiest and greatest hockey players to play and hopefully he'll come back for 1 more year. In either case, Anaheim has been lucky to have him and it'll be a sad day when he retires. It'll be nice for Anaheim to finally have a player worthy enough to retire his number and hang in the rafters.

I thought it was funny how Teemu was getting embarrassed by all the cheering/clapping and tapped the ref on the butt with his stick, and motioned for him to drop the puck.

The irony being that he just garnered more respect, admiration, and cheering from the fans.

Exactly. Motion denied. Next possible application: June '13. But don't bet on our good will then, either.

Not as despicable as Adam Foote's last game when he mauled Hartikainen for 2 minutes though.
Play was stopped for a minute tops. Take a bio break or talk to your wife/husband for a minute or stretch your legs.

Lol I remember the Foote thing last season. Oilers fans were so pissed off about it....though they're still angry about the Kronwall hit but lighten up.

Anyways....65 pts by a ~42 yr old is probably one of the best accomplishments post-lockout. I know others like Recchi posted decent numbers but it was partly the result of linemates, Teemu can generate offense on his own while playing well in all zones.

Actually a guy on our board said his friend got it and gave it to a kid next to him.

Again, I only saw the 2nd post in the thread, assuming it was about trying to get him goals or a win. Had no complaints about the stoppage in play.
wow
