Why on earth would you be happy in any way shape or form when our franchise player gets a concussion?
I'm pretty sure most of us doubt he actually has a concussion.

What? The only "threat" we traded away was Huet and he would be long gone. Unless you count Desjardins, who was barely a threat to Sanford in the AHL.

Slippery slope if you believe that, could be good bye pick, why risk it over 1 spot?

I know it's real.

And he just re-upped for two years in the KHL. I don't think he's going to cross the pond just because Price has a headache...

A couple of Tylenols and Price can have a seat at the end of the bench for the remaining 3 games.

I know it's real.
How could they possibly prove otherwise. He has headaches, they are keeping him out for precautionary reasons plus he has already played like 70 games. The NHL would have no case.

why would we waste assets on trading for a second top 10 goaltender when we already have one?

He re-upped in the offseason so he has one year after this year.

And that's fine if he's starting for the Flames. We have Price, remember?

you're really reaching. The entire reason Ramo wasn't in the NHL was because he didn't want to be Price's, or anyone's, backup.

Halak, Huet, Desjardins, Sanford, even Ramo in the past

Budaj, Delmas and Mayer we have now... Much weaker depth !

yes , he only got one year left then he is in the Flames net.

I though you said he just re upped for 2 more, sound like you meant just recently.

Yes who cares we toss away a top KHL goalie for scraps....That is what has got Montreal where we're at.

That is why not getting a 1st THIS year for A.Kostitsyn gonna hurt.

Subban or Vasilevski are two tremendous goalie prospects.

I'd like to think so,but his name alone due to his brother puts him on early radars screens.

...which goes back to my initial point about how goalies don't have high trade value. Especially when they're signed overseas and haven't shown any interest in leaving their KHL teams.

Or, on the other hand, maybe adding Ramo to the deal was the difference between getting Bourque and a 2nd vs. Bourque and a 4th. Who knows.

Regardless, it has zero bearing on the Habs' current situation, so there isn't much point in arguing over it.

I'm convinced, if Radulov was drafted by Montreal,
then left for the KHL,Montreal would have traded his rights for a 5th rounder..

I think I read a few weeks ago that he suffered a serious injury which could hamper his mobility, but I can't remember the details exactly. Would be a risky move if it's true.

Wait, Habeneros is complaining that we traded Ramo?

This is the guy that wants to trade Carey Price at the draft on the basis that we'll easily be able to sign a top goalie on July 1st

Had no choice but to trade Halak. Even Habaneros was smart enough not to include him. Sanford is currently a backup in Columbus, and Desjardins was a backup to him...in the AHL. Huet is the only threat to Price that was dealt and it was 4 years ago and not even in the NHL anymore, which ruins the point. The fact that Budaj is better than Desjardins and Sanford is really crippling to your point.
