Just a brutal list- and in all that time how many solid starters have we developed from our system that are still with us? Hughes and Nova, and Hughes is still a question mark at this point.

Leiber was a huge bargain in 2004. He started and won game 2 in the ALCS.

14-8......he was one of Cashman's few gems IMO.

Haha, I just read Mets offered buy 1 get 1 free to opening day to help sell it out. As of yesterday it was not sold out, and its pretty damn empty now. To funny.

I am a Met fan.

Yup, he wasn't bad. But was just pointing out how many guys we've added over the years that had 1 year stints or made 0 impact at al, rather than developing our own pitching.

Was probably the lower level seats. The Mets site had nothing available for under a $100 yesterday and I was trying to get a single ticket for today and I couldn't find anything cheaper than $50 on StubHub.

Is there a stream of the Mets game anywhere? I know baseball streams are more rare, but I figured finding one for opening day wouldn't be a problem

Johan's starting to lose it now. Up to 80 pitches in the 5th.

Let Johan pitch the 6th, I say.

The only guys in the pen I have faith in are Acosta and Parnell. And I don't know if Bobby'll carry his new stuff into the regular season that well.

Ugh, not happening. Our bench bats suck, too.

Oh well, come on Mike from Whitestone.

Wow, he was just overmatched. Hudson embarrassed him.

edit- Murph is ****ing good. I don't know why there's so many people who want to trade him. He can rake and his defensive struggles are overrated.

Horrible defensive read by Torres. On top of that, he gets injured.

Bum.

Two terrible calls.

Torres getting tagged out when he was safe, and then that nonsense call. The officiating is really mediocre this game.

I swear to god, I think pro sports really need to properly institute a grading system for officials. There is almost no accountability for consistently poor officials.

Bad managing by Collins imo. Should have switched Duda out with a righty(especially that late in the game). The pitcher was having a heck of time against the righties.

Pitching was excellent today, especially the bullpen. Bullpen were the stars of the game.

Francisco looked better there than he did all ST. Nasty fastball to strike out Heyward there. Rauch looked better, too.
