I truly think this may have been his last match ever. Hell in a Cell on the grandest stage of them all against Triple H with Shawn Michaels as special referee, how do you top that? You can't. Undertaker is 20-0, I think it may be over. Helping Triple H out of the ring with Shawn Michaels and all three of them hugging on the top of the stage cemented my thought, but I don't know, that may just be me. We'll see next year on the Road to WrestleMania.
If it isn't it for 'Taker, I think it can be anyone from Brock Lesnar, John Cena or The Rock.
As much as I loved the match last night (and last year as well), it's time that he either retires 20-0 or puts over a young guy. Talk about making a guy an instant star...
For the sake of the poll, I chose other. It's so hard to know where people are going to be positioned next year near this time, but as it stands now, I'd like to see it be either Ziggler or Bryan.
If there are no intentions of facing Rock, Cena, Y2J, Punk, or Jericho, then it should be nobody. I actually don't think a Rock/Taker build up would work anyways.
i hope he retires and therefore, is inducted into the HOF next year
he clearly can't work a regular schedule. hell, he can't even work a Goldberg/Lesnar schedule. he's accomplished everything there is to accomplish in professional wrestling
Would Undertaker be the first guy to reture on his own decision and NOT lose his final match?
I can't see him competing again next year, and if he does do another match, whether it be Summerslam or any other ppv, he has to lose his final match right?...but the WWE doesn't have anyone worthy of dethroning him. They are several years beyond the point of no return, and he's been booked as some sort of invincible beast that just can't lose now. Since there's nobody left to take him down, I can actually see last night being his last go.
cant work a regular schedule but for what its worth his match was the best of the night.
i think the fact that we believe he might lose helped but they can keep doing the same thing with someone else.
Taker vs a pissed off Cena/Punk/Jericho would be interesting.
i dont see how a returning guest (lessnar, batista) could beat him, even with the rock winning last nite.

He basically is retired. He was given one last run with the title a couple years ago (in a program with Kane), and it's basically Wrestlemania or nothing. If he has a next match, it will be next year's Wrestlemania. If there is one after that, it will be Wrestlemania 30. I think this is the end with how the exit looked, but I could also see him working the next two WM's just to get to WM 30. I just hope it's not the last time we've ever seen him (aside from HOF), he should get his 10-minute block on Raw to say goodbye like everyone else.
As much as I don't want this to happen (because I want to see Lesnar on WWE TV soon) what I would consider doing is keep Lesnar off until next January. People will probably forget about him by then.
HHH or whoever is in an authority role will call out the Undertaker and try to get him to come back for a final match at WM29. Undertaker will come to the ring and decline, saying there is no one worthy of taking a shot at the streak and that he's done. And just before he leaves the ring, completely out of nowhere, Brock Lesnar charges the ring and they have a staredown. No physical contact, just an intense staredown.

Thing is, I don't really see Lesner as more "worthy" than some other guys I mentioned.
I don't think his streak will end. I don't think anyone is going to be treated to another Undertaker match.
It's all said and done. The only thing the Undertaker had to do was give Triple H a beating and he did that the other night. We won't be seeing the faces of Taker or HBK for sometime.
I do think we will see some more of Triple H and maybe get involved with Johnny.
I don't think WM 28 was Taker's last match. His last match will be advertised as such and they would use it as a selling point. His last match also has to be a main event and it could create predictions of the streak ending.

A beating ? The match was pretty close but without any surprise the Undertaker got the win at the end

I don't think you can get Taker to lose at Mania though.
Vince has stated that he's never going to book Undertaker to lose, and Triple H backed him up on that statement apparently. If the Streak is going to end, Undertaker is actually going to have to convince them to let it happen, but as been said, no one is worthy.
Thank goodness Angle didn't end it though, given that he wanted out.
As far as I know he WANTS the streak to end. Well, he did. I think he wanted Angle to end it, then wanted Orton to end it.
The problem isn't Undertaker not allowing it, it's that there's nobody worthy of it.

I had this discussion with my wife after the Undertaker beat Triple H.
My opinion is this: The streak is bigger than any superstar, past or present. There is not a single person in that lockeroom right now that deserves to end the streak. When people think of Wrestlemania, there's your title matches, your MITB match (save for this year) and then there's the streak. Who will challenge him this year? Will he be able to overcome the task at hand and beat Undertaker. The aura itself of the streak is almost as big as the PPV itself and it is something that should be kept pure and never ended.
