What's this I'm readin'?

Halak's back on the team, and he's hurt?

...

Oh, wait, it's that debate again.

On the Habs' Injury Talk thread.

Does anyone know if Moen's injury is a concussion or a shoulder injury? I remember him being hit hard by Komisarek but he got up quick and I think he finished the game and even played other games after.

Haven't heard about a concussion with Moen and he was practicing with the team today and hopes to get a game in before season's end.

People relax... Price is not feeling too well (might or might not be a concussion) so they'll give Budaj the last 3 games. Nothing wrong with that really.

Milan Michalek and Claude Giroux also had "concussions".

when i asked about if Price was playing with a undiagnosed concussion a while back ,now read what Montreal is saying.

Quote:
Carey Price could be dealing with post-concussion syndrome, the Montreal Canadiens said Monday.

Post-concussion syndrome, also known as postconcussive syndrome or PCS, and historically called shell shock,[1] is a set of symptoms that a person may experience for weeks, months, or occasionally up to a year or more after a concussion

Habs better ship Budaj out, and upgrade ,not joking .
No doubt Carey has taken some hits this season, but not more than average. He also shakes it off better than most.

It's almost impossible to have a successful tandem of two young goalies fighting for number one. In theory the competition should make them both better, but AFAICS it works much better with an older, experienced goalie and a younger one.

Besides, haven't you been vocal recently about trading Price?

It's all good the Habs brass wanted to show there loyal to Price, not threats in the rearview , play 70 games a year, BUT when injury hits him, you can't plug that hole in a week!

You might be able to play through missing Gionta for example, but Price going down in week 2 of season , Budaj isn't takin this club now where,............Sunk City .

Now with head injury? who knows.
Price is a goalie who takes ALOT of punishment ....

This is shaping up to be a bad scene...

There done. It was easy.

Now back to Price.
I think the team is just being careful with Price and since the season is shot why not give him a rest and have him fresh for next season.

Hopefully you can see ,hes been experiencing headaches since last week.

Doesn't mean he's about to retire, Christ. He has 6 months ahead of him to recover. Take it down a notch...

Shouldn't they wait to see if Price has a headache for a day or continuous symptoms? Even if it is a concussion, virtually every player in the NHL will have at least one concussion during their career, thankfully most are not career (or life) altering. When you are dealing with brain trauma the effects can vary from the equivalent of a binge drinking session to noticeable damage.

Either way we need goalie prospects, having none in the system is suicidal even if Price is faking it. You never know what could happen.

You don't have to be a "concussion expert", you just have to have an iota of common sense.

There's really not a lot of "proven facts" when it comes to concussions. All the term means is a head injury with some impact on brain functions. I suffered a minor concussion as a kid when I fell, I've hit my head in a variety of ways many times since then with no concussion like symptoms. Any brain trauma is unwelcome, but if any concussion means you'd get another every time someone touches your head then most prospects would never even make the NHL.

just from lookin across the sports land, i seen many guy get one and more followed after....just look around.

And sure he got 4.5 month to recoup, and everyone is different,
but he got a soft head now, which for a guy who get's plowed into as much as he does is no bonus.
