I have no issues with what Lavi did.

Loved the passion.

$10,000, hmm? Can we pay you in splintered stick shafts? How about Coke cans at 5 cents each?

No, I guess they trough he was protecting Crosby. Like I said in the past they are always the victims.

Just can't wait for the playoff.

If you are making what he makes, it's a little easier to swallow.

I'm surprised Asham didn't get anything at all.

so if on Saturday we are losing late and the game is lost and the Flyers send out Rinaldo,Shelley and Talbot. how do the Pens fans react to that?
I honestly dont want to come to that. I want to get payback or whatever you want to call that by kicking their ***** again on Saturday and doing the same in the playoffs.

- Jordan Staal cross checks someone head first into the boards
- Laviolette breaks a stick in anger

Which one has the larger fine? Anyone?

well in defense of that the most a player can be fined per the current CBA is 2,500. Dont think there is a limit for a coach/organization.

That fine limit is silly with how much played make.

The Flyers are owned by Comcast, which is essentially an infinite (or xfinite?) pot of money. A lot of fans are just assuming he'll get it back in a "$10,000 end of season bonus."

I figured he'd get a fine or something for endangering the linesman. I wish I could say I'm surprised he didn't get anything but since he's a Penguin I'm honestly not surprised he got away with it.

Depends who's head he breaks it over. Over a Penguin = fine. Over Jim McCrossin's head = nothing.

Correct me if I'm wrong but players don't get paid during a suspension. So they get hit with "bigger fines" by getting suspended. That's why I think the fine limit for players makes sense. If it was bad enough, he'd get suspended.

This actually could work out well for us. Seems to me that there's been a decent amount of backlash at the Penguins over the hypocritical *****ing, Crosby/Malkin's antics, etc. Maybe come playoff time, the refs are on notice and know to look for the stuff.

Guy can hope, right?

Going back to when Couturier speared Kovalchuk, I calculated that if Kovalchuk – obviously one of the better-paid players – wasn't paid for the duration of the 2-minute retaliation penalty he took, it would work out to more than the typical $2,500 fine.

I've been thinking the same thing. It seems like this all go a lot of media coverage and "exposed" if thats what you want to call it, some of the ******** that has been going on for years. One can only hope that it will bring balance but then again I won't hold my breath.

So then what is the point of even fining them?

Also, I meant players not played.

No doubt! Wait till someone hits Cindy and knocks him out of the playoffs, that will be a min 5 game suspension for sure. I know the cross-check to crosby from Schenn was a little dirty but Crosby did deserve it and got away with the same hit on Schenn earlier in the game. The refs need to call penalties even if its on the crybaby or things will get heated pretty quick.
