As a former Thrashers season ticket holder, I'd like to thank everyone in Cell Block 303 for taking my buddies and me in last night... We felt right at home in your section, and will definitely be back for some playoff games.
I also wanted to share this photo with anyone from the Nasty Nest who might be lurking on the boards...
Oh, one more thing... WINNIPEG SUCKS! LET'S GO PREDS!
I'm friends with quite a few folks in that picture. Can I share it on my facebook?
The highlight of the game to me was talking to Peggers during the break. Most were shocked by the crowd and noise in Nashville. This shatters the "hockey savvy Canadian" myth. Anybody that follows the sport certainly knows by now that the Saturday Night Game in Nashville is currently the hottest ticket in the NHL. At least these folks saw how hockey, when done right, can succeed in South.
Loved the video. We actually thought the jersey toss was done by somebody in the marketing department.
Thanks Nashville. 3 games in as many months. We'll be back for the playoffs.
I think Winnipeg fans really thought they were the loudest in the league. Don't get me wrong, they are very loud and passionate fans, but Nashville has something going on down here that is all its own.
Good job guys! Looks like all the ex-Thrasher fans did us proud on Saturday. I personally loved them throwing their jersey's on the ice! If I was there and saw someone do it I would have done the same.
I meant to add this comment to the thread last night, but I got busy dealing with a troll and forgot.
There are clear rules against trolling. Just because you think you have a funny joke about the former Atlanta Thrashers or the team's fans does not mean you should post. In fact, it likely means you simply need to put more thought into the things you say. THOSE WHO COME TO THIS FORUM WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF TROLLING THRASHERS FANS WILL BE DEALT WITH HARSHLY. THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER WARNINGS. INFRACTIONS AND FORUM BANS WILL BE HANDED OUT LIBERALLY.
Really wish I could have been there. It would have been a good opportunity to say goodbye, then move on with loving the game again. I'll still do that, but it would have been nice to have that closure in such a great setting.
Here is the video that they played during the game.
Me and the wife were right behind the Jets bench.
When this video came on, there was some drunk Winnipeg chick that kept shouting out how much Atlanta sucked. That was the only bad moment of the game.
Oh and after the game some drunk dude said, "Good game!" Whilst slapping me on the ass.
