It's a good thing that the NB league was brutally weak. Now I can only imagine how weak the NS league was.
The Moncton team had alot of speed that NS couldn't compete with.

Some excellent hockey played this weekend in St. John's....Moncton clearly is gelling at the right time - outworked and outskated Halifax.......Ticket to the dance 1:00pm tomorrow.....Privateers, pride of the rock & Moncton will battle for the right to attend the Telus Cup - should be a dandy

"Brutally weak?????". Moncton in 5 games out scored competition at Atlantics 21-6. Fredericton beat Dartmouth at Monctonian and Halifax needed OT to beat them in final.

Moncton got beat by by Cornwall and Fredericton twice each this year. "Brutally weak......".

At Atlantics Moncton was + 15. The second place team St. John Privateers +3. "Brutally weak....?"

I wonder what one would say about the other leagues?

Congrats to you Moncton! Not bad for playing in a "Brutally weak" League!

The Ontario and Western teams will be very tough to beat this year. Good luck to all teams involved.

The Pacific team should be very tough too, Red Deer or Vancouver.

Wondering do the better 16/17 year olds play junior in the maritimes like in Ontario. I was told that is why the Ontario teams aren't that strong at the telus cup.

Well, I know the Quebec team in the finals has at least one 1st round pick and two 3rd round picks from the 2011 Q Draft, along with the kid who is going to go #1 in the 2012 Q Draft.

The best still go straight to the Q but if they don't make it, they rarely go to Junior A and never to Junior B, unlike Ontario.

That would've been way more painful to watch. I would've been so happy to see that the kid about to come to my team was about to win a Telus Cup and then all of a sudden, his team falls apart and they lose. Watching it 100% impartial was great entertainment.

It's a horrible feeling, I pity them, they just had their hearts ripped out, I've been there and collapsed.... Anyone who has ever collapsed understands... That's gunna haunt them for a long time. I know the pain, it's been a month for me and it still hurts, they'll never want to play there again, and they will have long long summers..

I feel bad for them, really I do. Horrible feeling.

What a horrible way to end your hockey career for the 94's on CEB...
