Does anyone know what Voynov and Martinez stats are after the Jack Johnson trade?

Need to stay on the gas and convert during the playoffs, Oilers won't come back but other teams will and unfortunately I don't see it happening under Sutter.
Were you watching the same game as all of us? The Kings never let up at all. Dubnyk played a very solid game.

The Oilers were so poor offensively because of the Kings attack and pressure, and there defensive play.

Voynov has 4G, 5A, +8 in 19 games
Martinez has 3G, 4A, +5 in 19 games
Doughty has 3G, 6 A, +0 in 19 games. (But he scored goals in 2 straight games prior to Johnon being dealt.)

Johnson has 3G, 8 A, +2 in 18 games

for the love of god can we get VV or Amart on the 1st PP unit.
Pretty sure it is Voynov with one of Kopitar/Richards on the point for 1st PP unit. Doughty, at times, were on the top unit with Kopitar as well I think. But I think Voynov has been the main man on the 1st PP unit. A-Mart's game has improved drastically within the season. I think this D-core can really win us some games in the playoffs if we can get there.

I was tense the entire time and now I can't go to sleep because I'm too pumped. Good thing I have to participate in a 6am conference call in the morning! Well, I'd rather that happen than try to sleep pissed off.

I was not a Sutter believer at all. But seeing the differences in philosophy between one old school coach and another, makes me think DL made a good choice for where this team is now. Murray was good for a young team looking for an identity, but not so good about loosening the reigns when the talent level rose to a higher level. Sutter proving that you can still be elite defensively and actually put pressure on the opponents by taking some risks on the offensive side of the rink.

We have 3 rookies playing important minutes on this team. Voynov was expected, but Nolan and King...how awesome is that? I don't think anyone could've predicted Nolan and King would be on the roster and not healthy scratches at the beginning of the season. Love their heart and grit. Plus, those kids are huge.

Now punch out the Sharks on Thursday and sap the life out of them and win this division!

Just wanted to pop in and say that I had a great time at the Staples Center tonight. Looking forward to going to games in the playoffs (if the budget can support it) and next season. If the Sabres don't make it into the playoffs, I'm pulling for you guys (I'd say Nashville too, but the 1st round pick says otherwise )

Our defense is better with Jack gone. Better structured, more flowing and less rocky as a unit. Defensemen having the hockey IQ to know when to activate (which I don't believe Jack showed at all in LA) has been huge.

Were you watching Cheech & Chong rather than an actual NHL hockey game?

It's brutal to say, but I agree. Addition by subtraction. He was more erratic the the rest of the guys back there. Jack has all the tools, but his decisionmaking let him down. I hope he succeeds in Colombus - finally figuring it out (stealing that line from Jim Fox, I know).

That's what happens in sports, people hate the Clippers now too because they are finally a competitive team. Personally, I find it hilarious when other fans get all pissy over the Kings. Like you just know a lot of _ucks fans are going to bed all bitter after looking at the standings and reading about Quick's ten shutouts. Excellent.

Iíve got this weird feeling in my bones. I think itís called optimism ?

This team is playing tremendous hockey right now. Thereís a lot of confidence offensively and the defense is rock-solid as ever. I credit Darryl Sutter as the primary impact on the team. The additions of a pair of youthful energy, drive to the net, powerful type rookies helped a lot too. In terms of importance I think theyíve had more impact than Carter. And I like Carter on the team.

I think this Kings team is capable of going deep in the playoffs. There. I said it. The playoffs are never easy, nor should they be Ö but this team, I think, has what it takes.

They have what it takes to go deep, more so than any team the Kings have had on offer post-lockout. And much more so than the team we thought was actually of that caliber (it wasn't obviously) when the season begun. How far will they go? I have no idea. I'm just not comfortable with the thought of them taking a big series lead.

I don't really want to play Vancouver because of their puck movement, but I am not scared to see this team play against them if that was required.

I'm optimistic (rare) and we'll see what happens. Hopefully it's a long ride.

Winners will always be hated by rivals and their fans ... lets hope that means the Kings are about to become winners :-)
