Would you accept Dany Heatley back?

Inquiring minds would like to know! Feel free to explain why or why not.

EDIT: After his contract is up!

No but I'd love to see Wade Redden back if his contract gets bought out.

Tad late for April fools day. Sure, bring him back with Yashin as his centre.

Better you start another thread/poll on the main boards with "Would any team take Dany Heatly".

Melnyk is taking him to court over that 4 mil bonus he was forced to pay after Heatley declined his NTC, so I doubt our opinion matters much

Speaking of Melnyk, how pumped is he that his team is almost 13mil under the cap and headed for the playoffs?

I'd love Redden back.

I'd love Hossa back too, and I think Hossa's a much more reasonably productive guy to reacquire.

He's being outscored by Nick *** Foligno this year and he makes over $7 million a season. His career has been on a precipitous downward slide production-wise since he's left here and to top it all off, he's a self-involved, lazy d-bag who only cares about himself.

So....no. You could overlook all the other awful, awful things if he was still scoring 40 goals but he can't even do that anymore so welcome to Jonathan Cheechoo land Dany.

I should have said in the initial post that this was meant for after his current contract is up.

Players I would welcome back either because I think they'd contribute or because I want them to retire sens:

Redden
Hossa
Havlat
Chara
Emery
Volchenkov
Vermette
Kelly
Fisher

I wouldn't sign that declining, selfish, egotistical a-hole for league minimum. Not a chance in hell.

Melnyk will never pay that d-bag another dime.

The fans will never accept it.

The only good thing that would come from that dip**** being back in a Sens jersey ever again would be that Neil, Carkner, Konopka, and Smith can each give him daily beatings, and that still wouldn't pay his debt to this team and city.

If he were ever in a Sens jersey again, I'd buy one, just to have a rag to wipe out my cat's litterbox and something to wipe my arse.

He was one of my favourite players while he was here, and before this season, I probably would take him back..

But he isn't all that good now. I never want to see him in Ottawa again.

He ****ed this team over big..

As much as we could use another 20 goal man, there's no way.

Any sort of negotiations would have to hinge on Heatley taking a greatly reduced salary, as well as openly admitting that he was wrong and apologizing to the Ottawa Senators organization, the Senators fans and the city of Ottawa.

Since none of that will never happen, Heatley will never suit up in a Sens uniform again.

A hostile no way. Danny Heatley is IMO a bad person. He caused the death of a young man, was forgiven by the family and has never done ANY work in Atlanta where he was convicted.
