Can the playoffs just start already? **** is this going to be a boring week and a half, even with baseball and the Masters to look forward to before then.
people saying we should play for a certain seed are terrible fans. you play hard every game and roll into the PO's with as much momentum as you can. If you need to rest certain players then so be it.
You need to beat everyone, or beat everyone who beats others, to make it to the Cup anyway.
I agree with you all that they need to go in to the playoffs at full steam regardless of where it puts them. But if some want to disagree, that doesn't make them bad fans. Come on...
Detroit has to play @St. Louis and vs Chicago so its very possible that last game of the season will determine who ends up 4, 5, and 6.
Hawks need to win out, Nashville has to go 1-1-1 or worse, and Detroit has to go 1-1-1 or worse for the Hawks to get the 4. Losing in OT last night really hurt their chances.

Brouwer wears a "A" for them. This alone tells me about how this team is structured and about their chances.
OK, I'd take him over Bruno, but not over the chance to draft Danault + get a roster spot to give guys like Jayes, Shaw or other the chance to perform in the NHL
The road is paved in gold for the Hawks as a 6th seed. To be a favorite in round 1, play Vancouver in round 2 and for St. Louis to draw a tough Phoenix matchup on top of Nashville vs. Detroit would be as ideal of a scenario as any 6th place team in the league has had in awhile.

Don't think they'll be favored vs LA. LA has killed the Hawks this year (3-1, 2 shut outs).
LA hasn't killed us. EDM killed us this year, Quick just shut us down 3 times. LA is good, but we are better. The team with more points will be the favorite

And before this year, the Hawks had something like a 10-0-1 record against them in the previous 11 games. We own LA.

Right, more points = favorite and it's not that close either, it's 5 points. Not to mention Hawks Cup experience vs. LA not getting out of the 1st round.

10-0-1 stretches back 3 years...both teams were a lot different then. This mix of Hawks has been dominated by this mix of Kings. Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien aren't walking through that door.
