Hard to see a kid that good, that young get traded yet again in the next several months, but if the right deal were out there do you think you guys would consider making him available? Or at this point is he considered one of your untouchables?
What about something like Schelmko/Stone/Goncharov + Rundblad for your 1st if you pick outside the top 5? I'm going to go on record as saying that Rundblad will never play for a team coached by Dave Tippett. Considering his (Tippett) threshold of what is acceptable defensive play, Rundblad may simply take too long to mature to that point to make it worth it to hold onto him. The fact that Ottawa jettisoned him is telling. There's only room for a guy like Rundblad in certain systems with a tolerant coach. Think Mike Green. There's no way a player like that thrives under Tippett.
I'm actually pretty disappointed they don't keep him with the big team. He needs to train, be coached and thrown in the odd game. I guess he gains more by being in Portland, for now. Even from the few games he played it was obvious that his offensive instinct is on another level, probably better than Yandle. The execution and the D just isn't there right now. I'm of the opinion that we will see some potentially major moves at the draft. There's too much of a logjam on D right now. If the team moves that complicates things further.

If the pick is outside the top-5 I would say it is possible but not likely. Maybe if the package was Rundblad and your 1st, ultimately making it a trade-up for you guys. As of now I feel we will probably end up with the 5th or 6th pick, which will probably give you the choice between guys like Galchenyuk and Forsberg as far as forwards go(which I'm assuming will be the direction you go in, considering your current defensive depth as well as the fact that Murray and Dumba will both probably be off the board by the 5th pick).
Depending on where we both finish, maybe we will add something to balance out the value. Maybe an OK prospect or a 3rd rounder. I guess it will depend on the gap between our picks. Either way, does this sound like something you guys would consider?
I have heard nothing about him since he was traded. Is he still in the minors? When he was in Ottawa he seemed good enough to play in the NHL just he needed more experience/confidence.

Is he not considered one of your top prospects?
We have numerous threads and lots of discussion on Rundblad in this forum (see Player Inquiry Thread as that is where this thread will be moved to). Phoenix prospects don't get much for mainstream attention and most of the threads on the main boards revolve around Phoenix acting as a minor league bottom feeder who should graciously donate their top players and prospects to teams for their magical 3rd round pick.
To answer your question David Rundblad is one of our top prospects. It's between him and fellow D man Gormely as to who is our "top prospect".
Phoenix is a team absolutely loaded on the blueline. Rundblad, Gormely, Summers, Stone, Murphy, etc. sit in our pipeline and I'm likely missing a few more names on players who could make our squad in the next 2 seasons. Summers and Stone are currently on the team ahead of Rundblad due to the strength of their defensive game. Phoenix had Rundblad up with them but elected to send him down as he needs the minutes more at the AHL level to bring his defensive game up to speed for a Dave Tippett team.
Rundblad to me has some very impressive attributes. I was immediately floored by his skill level with the puck and his ability to get shots on net from the blueline. Once he establishes better d zone presence I expect him to be paired with OEL and that he will become a permanent fixture on the PP.
He's been solid the whole year. He just doesn't shoot the puck as much as he should. When he shoots it, he's great. I'd be willing to bet he leads the Coyotes in shooting %.
Boedker has speed and skill. He's defensively responsible and gaining confidence. He could really break out soon... but as mentioned above, he does need to shoot more regularly and continue to take the puck to the net.
What's the story with Korpikoski? He didn't look right when he came back. Hasn't played in a few games. Definitely a better option than Pouliot when he's healthy.
Nashville fan saying Mikkel Boedker is an absolute monster. Other than OEL, he is the Yote I have been most impressed with. He's fast, hard-working, great defensively, and just so talented. Wish the Preds could get him, but obviously that isnt happening. Anyways, just wanted to say he's awesome to watch
Can someone give me a scouting report on Martin Hanzal? I haven't seen him play much so I don't know much about him. I know he's huge and physical, but could someone give me an accurate depiction of his play style and what you expect from him numbers-wise in the future.

Huge and physical is a good place to start. His value to the team mostly comes from his defensive acumen. He knows how to use his size very well, but his positioning and stickwork are also outstanding, and he's without question one of the best shutdown centers in the league. The reason the Coyotes have been able to run with the Kings and Ducks and Sharks (and thus Kopitar and Getzlaf and Thornton) these past few years is because Hanzal can keep them quiet. Just an absolute stud defensively.
Offensively, he's got a lot of room to grow. He's comfortable parking himself in front of the net, but he lacks the quickness or hands to do much damage there. He shows flashes of gifted playmaking ability from time to time, but he's pretty slow and doesn't have the vision puck possession skills to play like a Jason Allison. That said, his offense seems to get a little better every year, and he's only 25, so if he can stay healthy, I think he can break the 50-point mark a few times in his career.

I think its safe to expect more than his 8 goals last year but he probably wont score much more than 15 in a given season. He will probably finish with 40-50 points a season. 60 would surprise me.
What kind of potential does Michael Stone have? Top-4? Bottom pairing?
He's a heavyweight in a way that no other defenseman in this system is, and he's got a pretty heavy shot. Stone is on the slow side, but he usually gets himself into the right position. Given the potential of some of the other young defensemen in this system (Yandle, OEL, Gormley, Rundblad, Murphy and even Summers), I think he'll have a hard time moving above the bottom pairing, but there's a chance he could be a top four guy (on this or some other team).
In your opinion will MacLean be making the team out of camp? He used to be highly touted, is this still the case? What does his potential look like? 2nd liner? 3rd liner? I'm debating whether to keep him in my keeper league.
