No, I just looked it up, it was Nikita, but anyway, we're talking about the same guy. I want him!
Yes you are right. I apologize and I'm not sure why I thought it was Sergei lol. But im hoping Erie can convince him to come over and draft him with the 3rd pick.

Nah - We suffered too ( ) and shrewdly traded for the second worst CHL team's pick.
Come on - you don't need a goalie. That Connor Crisp guy seems promising...

Lol although he did play well given the circumstances I think we all hope that never happens again. What team are you a fan of? I know the first two picks are the Q and W respectively then Erie. I am really hoping the best goaltender is there at 3
Yeah, we desperately need a goalie. Lacerte was an overager this year, and Michaud and Bezeau (while promising) are still very young. I'd really like for us to be able to see to grab someone else. We also have the fourth overall pick in the QMJHL draft, so that could be another avenue, as could a trade (Tremblay!). We have a few first round picks in 2013 too...
What's impressive about Crisp though, is that he faced a crap-load of shots. He let in 13, or so, but where was the rest of the team?

Yeah, we have PEI's pick in the first round of the import draft, and on any other year it would be first overall. Sherbrooke, the expansion team, gets the first overall pick though.

What happened the game Crisp was goalie was that Erie's back up goaltender was already sidelined during a game that past weekend and was scratched. Erie has other goalies in the league below them but all were playing in their perspective playoff games so it is really unfair to that team to take their goalie and have him back up in a game that is pointless for Erie. Erie started their usual starter and he was ran (Some would say intentionally) in the first two minutes and was unable to continue. They had no back up so they were left with the option to forfeit or put a position player in goal.

I hope they do not chose Serebryakov because I really want him in Erie lol. Erie has one promising goaltender but is probably to young to be the starter all season and would benefit great from him even though he is sort of young as well.

You're up before us, but I bet Courteau is going to try to convince him to go to Sherbrooke. He seems to want them to win the President's Cup right away.
They're getting the first overall pick in both drafts, they get an expansion draft, and they get some other crazy perks. They get five overagers, and I think three Euros (don't quote me on the last part though).

only 2 euros.
5 overagers leftovers of other teams won't make it though.
I pretty much see Sherbrooke trade that european pick for a better midget pick in order to start building through the draft.
they will be middle/lower end of the pack team IMO.
don't forget that you get the 17th best players of other teams. Even if you can have 5 overagers their quality will be pretty bad.

Don't forget, the Sea Dogs and Fog Devils got the same perks their first year in.... and both teams were absolutely brutal for that first year.
They basically have to build a team from scraps, leftovers. There's a reason the 5 overages are necessary!
True, so will most Prospects who're worth a damn who've shown even the slightest interest in coming over get drafted then?
Yeah but the thing about the CHL import draft is it's almost a rehearsed play. Many of these teams talk to European players prior to them coming over to make sure they can work something out.
Look at a few drafts and you tell me if this player order makes sense

I don't know much about the European leagues, but I was looking around at some stats and wondered if anyone could give any insight into any of these players.I know Koys is the biggest name on the list.Is Siska even eligible for the draft being a '96 born?

Jan Zlocha
Robert Lantosi
Lasse Overgaard
Zintis Nauris Zusevics
Robert Lipsbergs
Julian Schmutz
Nikita Jevpalovs
Patrik Koys
Matej Pavlovic
Juraj Siska
Christoph Bertschy
I think it's only 95, this year...
Schmutz and Bertschy were just awful for me in EHM..
I've heard some talk that Joonas Korpisalo might be coming over after he gets drafted. At the moment he's only practicing with Jokerit, not under contract like many of their other -93 and -94 kids. And Jokerit have 3 solid goalies which means he would basically be stuck in the A-juniors and wouldn't get to play pro games. If he comes, I would assume it's the CHL, not the AHL.
