Sean Collins (Cornell) signed with the Blue Jackets yesterday. He had a really good year for the Big Red too.

You can read more about it HERE.

Connor Knapp signs 2yr ELC with Buffalo; will report to Rochester on ATO:
Quote:
Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier today announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Dan Catenacci on a three-year entry level contract and goaltender Connor Knapp on a two-year entry-level contract. Both contracts will take effect next season and both players will join the Rochester Americans tonight on amateur tryouts.
Quote:
Knapp (6’6”, 222 lbs., 5/1/90) recently completed a four-year collegiate career at the University of Miami (Ohio). During his senior season, Knapp appeared in a career-high 24 games, starting 22 and compiling career-best numbers in every category, including a 15-8-0 record, a 1.69 goals against average, a .933 save percentage and five shutouts.

The York, NY native appeared in 84 games during his collegiate career, posting a 46-22-11 record with a 1.94 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. Knapp was selected by the Sabres in the sixth round (164th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

For anyone who might've missed it on the Pens board, Beau Bennett signed with Pittsburgh today.

Steve Moses signed a one-year deal with Helsinki Jokerit in the Finnish Sm-liiga today. Apparently he had been training with them for a while last summer and knew him already. He was UNH's top scorer, played some games for the Connecticut Whale (AHL) and based on what I've read, he's a fast skater with goal-scoring ability?

I'd be very thankful if someone who has seen him play would post a short description of him as a player. Sm-liiga is quite similar to the AHL but the ice surface is bigger, so I guess that might benefit him?

WCHA Senior Free Agents

Oilers Chick - who do the scouts like from the WCHA crop of free agent seniors ?

LeBlanc, Seidel, Knowlton, Hayes, Schwartz, others ?

From the CCHA is DeKeyser (junior) still getting the most interest?

With the exception of Knowlton, the WCHA players you mentioned are getting a lot of NHL attention. I would also include Nebraska-Omaha defenseman Andrej Sustr as well. A lot of NHL scouts are really high on him.

Out of the CCHA, DeKeyser is still getting a ton of interest. Another CCHA defenseman that's also getting a lot of interest is Notre Dame's Shayne Taker.

Thanks for the info.

I just listed some of the WCHA seniors, would imagine there are a few players not in their senior season that may receive offers. Sustr for sure.
