Just saw that Cormier is expected to play RW beside Antropov. That's interesting considering how good Cormier is on faceoffs.
Agree about the young guys. Now that the Ice Caps have a playoff spot it would be nice to see some of the d-men get a look. Would like to see what Zach Redmond can do.

What is the limit for the amount of call-ups we can make?

I'd rather see Cormier at C and Antropov at RW.

If Cormier makes the team next year, it'll probably be at C (if Slater isn't re-signed) or at LW (if Slater re-signs).

Go out and win Jets!

But don't worry Panther fans, I only want them to win so that your players come into the Capitals game pissed and motivated and win so we can knock the Caps out together!

Just looked for him on St Johns' roster and didn't see him. Wasn't sure if he was called up as an injury replacement. Another failed Keenan draft pick.

It's also strange considering that Antro's natural position is on the wing.

I think he was lent to another AHL team. Saw something yesterday about this.

Was really rooting for McArdle, seemed like a real character guy. Loved how he overcame a pronounced speech impediment, and would step up and willingly do interviews. Also remember he was a gritty standout on Moose Jaw as a 17 year old when their team was absolutely terrible.

Oh well, he's still played 42 more NHL games than the guy they traded for him (Angelo Esposito) has played, and probably ever will play.

Coach Noel Game Day Press Conference

Coach Noel presser: Buff is playing tonight. Playing the spoiler role. Cormier’s game in St. John’s, needs to defend well. Surprised at the way the Panthers team came together. What has he liked about the Jets execution?

Am personally a pretty big fan of the job Noel and staff have done to date and think he doesn't get enough props on our board. In my view he has employed the correct on ice strategies given the roster he inherited. Also like his view to the future...

I will say this to the players -- there will be big changes next year on how we operate and the expectations on a daily basis of what I want to get accomplished. I got those things established this year but we're raising the bar. If we want to go somewhere we have work to do.

I would like to see a hatty scored by one of the Jets tonight please. Don't matter who!

(Actually, for goals I'd like to see...Ladd, Kane, Ladd, Ladd (en) )

Glade to hear Noel saying they are going to raise the bar and demand more.

The fact is year one was a free pass for this team. The players had to move, the families had to move, buy homes, etc. which is a huge hassle for anyone. I'm sure that was difficult for all the players. But now they are settled, so it all starts for real now. Glad to hear it.

I defiantly want to win tonight like every other night we will be playing until the day I die!!

That being said now that we are out of the playoff hunt I will be hoping for Florida to close things out starting tomorrow !! I think Florida deserves the division because they have been the most consistent team from the start of the season and I think their long suffering fan base had this one coming to them. They have played very good hockey this year and I assume some pundits might look at them as a favorable opponent in the 1st round but from what I have seen this year from Florida I would warn you to “underestimate this group at your peril”. They are a resilient bunch.

I am looking forward to savoring some of the last action of the season.........common boys let's take it to the Panthers tonight!!

Hmmm took this from a nice article over on arctic ice hockey about the home/road split.

2011-12 / 66 GP HOME SAVE %: .919 ROAD SAVE %: .895
2010-11 / 58 GP HOME SAVE %: .924 ROAD SAVE %: .903
2009-10 / 42 GP HOME SAVE %: .906 ROAD SAVE %: .907

Those are Pavs splits and they are not good at all, the Jets are allowing more shots per game on the road but not enough to warrant these kind of numbers.

Agreed. This winter has been absolutely unbelievable. I have loved every moment.
Also thankful I saved the 7-0 beating of the Panthers on the PVR. I will be reliving that game again in the summer.

Nothing like firing up the BBQ outside and watching some hockey. Hopefully Kane can score number 30 tonight and the Jets pull out the win.

Lots of class being shown over on the Florida boards for this game "4/3/12 "More Like LOSEipeg!" Jets VS Panthers"... throwing stones in glass houses and all that.

Who cares, it's ribbing....not like we don't do it.

'Class' is the most over-used word on these forums.
