It's still my opinion that Theo just isn't on. Pav made the saves and Theo didn't. I mean you'll have that, don't get me wrong, but I don't think he's been playing well for a little over a week now.

They need to lose in regulation.. and we can lose both games if they do.

BTW...

Stephen Weiss is one kind of gentleman to go through all this and not say a single thing about it !

What a gift for his 29th birthday !

they have to win out and we'd have to lose out.

if we get a point, they're eliminated.

if we win either game against Washington or Carolina we win the SE. or an OT loss

We still control our destiny.

Just to let you guys know, if it came down to Florida or Buffalo for the playoffs, almost all Canes fans would want the Cats in. And I'd really like the Panthers to get the division before the game against the Canes.

That being said, if it comes down to the last game of the season, a little revenge might be nice

I'm afraid to see what this is going to do to this teams morale and confidence. We might have to hope Wash or Buff drops a point.

This is true. Theo may not be totally to blame, but he definitely didn't make any great saves either. Just an average job

rather than sensibly looking at the overall team game this group has played the past 3-4 months? look at dineen, my friend.
what about the scottie upshall 2 on 1 would have made it 4-0. What im saying had star offensive players been in those same positions they would not miss on the finite chances we had.

God Huberdeau better be the next gretzy or else this team is doomed.

Said it before the game. Still don't understand why this wasn't the decision made.

Dineen's been making decisions based on what goalies have done against the opponents. Why wouldn't he put Clemmer in tonight? He's hot and stole 2 points in Winnipeg earlier this year. Theodore's struggled against Winnipeg this year.

And I'm tired of Versteeg; I wouldn't mind if he's not re-signed, honestly. Give his money to Garrison.

I'm trying my best to stay positive that we'll at least get a point in the remaining two games, but it's tough. I've never seen two games go so sour before halfway through. Clemmensen definitely has to start on Thursday. No freaking doubt about it. Not that I can blame Theodore for the entire loss, but he just looked so shaky during the 3rd period. I hope this taught the team a lesson and I'm glad to hear how desvasted they are now in the locker room. Maybe that will motivate them to keep a lead on in D.C.

This thread just got considerably shorter. Please do not quote the troublemakers. Just report them. Quoting them makes for a lot more work on a very busy night.

Thanks.

All in good fun, right?

That said, enjoy your return to the playoffs... 12 years is a long time to wait - better you guys in 3rd than Washington.
Someone needs to check their glasses. But I guess haters gonna hate, no matter what.

i fully expect to lose out now. Our only prayer lies with philadelphia and boston. If i didnt hate the leafs before i hate them 1000000000x more now. Im not sure which collapse of 2 bad teams was worse Toronto's collapse or our collapse.

I was thinking the same thing. I can understand why he went with Theo though. Good luck explaining to everyone that you went with the backup in the biggest game in 12 years.

I agree about Versteeg. He's way too lax with his play. I was thinking about giving the money to Garrison or passing on both and giving it to Parise or even Suter, although I'd much rather have Parise. We need a superstar forward who can give us that extra goal to put us over the top, not cost us with his dumb turnovers.
