I just said this to him on the main board. I believe the penalty was when Cally came in with his elbow before the scrum even happened. That was the original call.. and the sucker punch, pretty clear he punches him in the chest.

Hartnell needs 3 more goals for 40. Get it done! Sorry Lilja, Scotty's 40 is more important

Ranger fan coming in peace again. If you guys were wondering why there was no thread on how Giroux embellished the crap out of that high-sticking call, it's because I doubt we want to become extremely hated on HF like Pittsburgh fans. I wish this game would have went to OT so you could have got a point to get home ice vs them. Good luck in the playoffs (just not vs us.)

CSN had that replay in slo-mo. Simmonds gave Callahan a fist to his chest yet Callahan threw his head back. Ref wasn't buying that.

When was the high sticking embellishment? I don't remember seeing it? I probably had my face in the palms of my hands at that point.

so only the Blue Jackets(****ing suck) and TB(missed the playoffs) have allowed more first period goals then the Flyers this season. awesome.
Its not getting corrected this season, at this point it is what it is. You just hope you can over come it. Which in the playoffs usually spell trouble.
it doesnt matter who is at fault. Giroux, the defense, the goaltending. if you are a playoff team you should not be giving up multiple first period goals night after night. 9 alone in the last 3 games. Unreal

So now that the Rangers have swept us during the regular season, does this mean we sweep them in the playoffs?Should the two teams meet.

I completely agree. This slow start is beyond old, and it's ridiculous that a team this good just continues to slog through the first period like it's still the warm-ups. It's like they can't get motivated unless they are behind.

I thought we played well considering our lineup. If Kubina was a little smarter on any of the plays 4min minor penalty or 1st goal. Who knows...

We threw 40 shots and scored 3 goals, committed costly turnovers and ****ed up on special teams. Against good team like NY that's game.
