Maybe Darche, Moen, and Gomez plan to play on Saturday, in which case we would be sending down Palushaj, Leblanc, Geoffrion, and Dumont (well at least 3 of those 4).

So that would probably mean not much use for him in Hamilton.

I think if the Dogs were going to make the playoffs, then they probably would have invited him as insurance against injuries.

I think you are looking for something that isn't there. He's just saying he will miss one of his buddies.

Nope, we have 53 contracts signed for 2011-12, including Gallagher/Tinordi/Bournival, but they don't count on the 50 limit because they didn't play 10 NHL games.

He already has a contract for 2011-12, he could just have been sent to Hamilton like any signed player except that he is out of junior.

But the contract would not have slid to 2012/13, right?

Surely. Yet, if you leave, why would you miss him as a roomate? Just that, I don't believe he hasn't been signed yet. First Gallagher isn't being signed. No signs of Kristo. Hey I miss Gauthier already...he made it happen with Pateryn....

Even if he leaves he'd still miss his roomate

He'll get a new roomate in the NHL/AHL

To be teammates and roommates with a guy means you're with him 3/4 of the day, odds are you'll probably be good friends.

The only way his contract wouldn't "slid", is if he had played 10 NHL games, which he didn't.

Marc Antoine Godin ‏ @MAGodin
For those wondering, Brendan Gallagher wasn't brought up to Hamilton Bulldogs because #Habs thought he had played enough games this year.

How many games are we talking here? Seven? And the kid wanted to come? Honestly, I don't see the big deal of using him...we are not talking about 30 games here....

Exactly, it's no big deal in every way we look at it. I think we can let it go.

Ben Blood is also Dannys 2nd cousin so seeing him leave and his roomate Nelson leave could have an impact on his decision to turn pro with us. I think you'll see him sign soon.

Nathan Beaulieu was beat by Jerome G.-Leduc for defenseman of the year in the QMJHL.

Morgan Ellis had won defensive defenseman of the year 2 weeks ago.

Beaulieu and Ellis were named together on the 2nd all-star team.

So what you are telling me is that we still don't have the answer to the question:

Can he fight?

Habs hate the Bulldogs. I still remember a time when Dogs fans were mad that the Habs let Halak go to the WC and started Price in the AHL out of junior. I wonder what they are thinking now.

weak, at the very least they should have sent him just to work out with the team, get to know some of the players for next season, get a small taste of what he can expect in the AHL next season.

I can't really understand all the fuss surrounding Gallagher. The Habs are acutely aware of what he can do and Hamilton is just a smorgasbord of players right now. With a new GM coming to Montreal we could even see a coaching change at the AHL level. Why dump a guy into all that confusion when there is so little to prove? Seven games isn't going to accelerate or delay his development.

It's not about his development. Do you think it's better for him to sit at home and play x box, or go to Hamilton and meet his future teammates while getting a taste of what he needs to do this summer to prepare for next season.

This is the first time I can remember in several years where the Habs didn't send a prospect to the AHL when their NCAA or CHL season ended.
